Pretty excited for LoK as well (haven't watched the first two episodes yet, saving it for the 14th). I like the fact that the creators took into account that the viewers of the first series have grown up and decided to take a less kiddy approach to it, not that it was bad in the first place though. Always nice to see a series try something different.

Yeah, it does seem like they tried to make it a bit more mature, but I still love to little kiddy jokes and such. Tenzin getting mad makes me laugh every time.

M. Night's version wasn't that bad. It's like the Avatar version of the Harry Potter movies. It needs the sequels though.Poor Katara... She looks so sadddddddddddd.
I dunno how I feel about the whole modernization thing... Just not how I pictured the show to go at all.
Wonder if they'll make this one into a movie too after how badly the last one went. I kind of want them to try, but to let someone besides M. Night Shama-llama-dingdong direct it.

I agree, the movie could have been a lot better, but I think they should make the sequels. The final battle between Aang and the Phoenix King would be interesting to see in live action.M. I was kind of hoping that Book 2 would end with a cliff hanger like the ending of book 2 or the original series, but it was still good. I'm curious now though, since the Avatar reincarnates, does that mean that

Also, Mako

Book 3 will officially be called "Change"
http://blogs.wsj.com...-titled-change/
It's gonna deal with the change in the world after the events of the end of Book 2.

I find it interesting that thus far all of Korra's major enemies are from the water tribes.
Air Nomads as the enemy would be just plain weird since Tenzen and his family are the only known Air Benders. (I personally find it hard to believe that there wasn't some rouge group of Air Nomads that possibly may have escaped or left the temples at some point and managed to stay hidden during the way) The Fire Nation was the main enemy in the original series. But, perhaps the Earth Kingdom is preparing to strike.

This series was ok I did not like how the avatar mode was essentially useless whenever korra used it -.-

I think they just over-used it in general. It lost its meaning.

I need to make sure my dvr is programmed properly.
Korra will never learn from her mistakes, the show wouldn't be interesting if she did.

It's gonna be interesting to see how they end it. I still don't know how that show has kept a Y7 rating.
