I am really really really dumb...someone opened two merchants at the same time, one that buys Bloody branches for 15mil (+600%), one that sells bloody branches for 4mil (+100%)...thinking that the guy accidently hit the wrong number and I could earn a few, I immediatly bought the 4mil branch (the only one on the market) and tried to sell it to the other merchant, but got the message "unable to sell due to $$ exceeding limit..." and I suddenly realized I got tricked. The merchant also immediately went offline once I bought it...

ARGHH I hate that guy, but it's also my fault for being a bit greedy = = but seriously, he's evil...lol...it was all his plan..

that's actually kinda funny. clever merchant. i don't think that could be considered scam either, cause he hasn't done anything wrong.

sorry for your loss, but i guess lesson learned.

You can ticket in the person, doing such things like that is not tolerated and is considered as scamming, yes I know this because we were told about it by Heim and Oda so we could educate the masses.

That's not really a scam. He fell for his own greed and I don't agree in someone being punished for it.
He wasn't forced or tricked.

seriously... this IS a scam...

if the timing was too much of a coincidence when both merchants logged off... he was then trying to manipulate the market through people looking at Ragial

TRY TO ASK IN THE TICKET THE TIME THE SHOPS WERE SET UP and if THE TIME THEY BOTH LOGGED OFF IF AT THE SAME TIME...

ASK that in the ticket... its crucial.

TO those who don't know here's how it happened:

Merchant#1 is controlled by Person1
Merchant#2 is also controlled by Person1

Both were set up by Person 1

Merchant#1 wants to sell item (lets say bloody Branch) at 3.5M
Merchant#2 wants to BUY bloody Branch at 16M

Person1 actively monitors both his merchants

Victim sees this buy and sell in Ragial as a profiting opportunity

Victim then buys bloody Branch from Merchant1

The moment victim buys from Merchant1 Person1 IMMEDIATELY Logs off Merchant2 (or Both Merchants)

Victim was unable to sell to merchant2 Since Person1 Logged of his Merchants

BAM... Scam Happened...

Get this reported quick... A prevalence of this S H I T might follow

its not that much different than selling a poring backpack for 40m the day heroic backpack comes out and people are vending 60m.. taking advantage of someone's greed to scam them.

Terms of Service has always said "all kinds of merchant scam" under bannable offenses.

This is quite different... The backpack scam was really for those who were (sorry for the term) dumb enough to buy the backpacks... However, THAT can ALSO be reported.

But this was a bit different... This scam is of a more sinister level... and im dead serious for this issue to be resolved... as i don't want this happening (personally)

i agree with myz, this is solely on the person's greed and naiveness than falling for a scam. you could observe ragial and look for easy profits here and there, but a buy shop for 4-6x the original price when bbs constantly vend and for a lesser amount? you honestly did not become suspicious of a commonly vended item that was being bought for an amount many times the average?

EDIT: THere is a primary factor that can escalate this further into a scam.. and that is if Merchant1 is selling his item OVERPRICED, and Merchant2 is Buying it EVEN more Overpriced.

Its just an old trick that you got tricked by because of your greed tbh, NO ONE opens up a buy shop to pay over the odds.
Lets put it this way if you had BB's ON YOU at that time sold em and played at his own game he would have been tricked. Shops wont open next to one selling for more its kinda common sence.

ive seen this same bug before.. someone who obviously knew their stuff wasnt going to be sellable had a shop up with 20,000 obb's and like 300 of them

no matter what # of obb's you tried to buy off him it wouldnt work
so this is not just a glitch its something that can be done on purpose
