I'm not too savvy on the battle manual x3's since I've only used two so far, but I was wondering how they work with turning in job experience only to gramps. I notice that when using a bmx3, base AND job experience from individual monsters is tripled, but I didn't know if the job experience from this is calculated in some way based on how much experience you're getting rather than your actual base level (to my understanding, in that case, job experience wouldn't be tripled).

Okay anyway, my real question is if I turn in a gramps TI for job experience only while on a bmx3, will I receive triple the experience? While it is really nice to get tons of base experience from turn-ins on a bmx3, I'm in dire need of some job levels too. Has anyone tried this out?

On a side note, please feel free to clarify how base/job experience is calculated too.

BM x3 triples both Base and Job EXP gained from monster kills and quest turn-ins.
Putting all EXP from turn-in into Job will result in (Job EXP * 3 + Base EXP * 3) being credited to your job experience.

Huh, are you certain it also triples JOB exp? I'm not so sure about that o:

Yes, it triples base JOB exp gain.
For example, killing a monster without VIP, EXP event or BMs yields 1,000 base and 500 job EXP. Using BM x3 here will triple both base and job EXP, resulting in 3,000 base and 1,500 job EXP gain. This holds true for turn-in quests also. Perhaps you are confused by how BM x3, EXP event, VIP bonus and JOB manual interacts with each other.

Yep it does, I do it all the time (: Any battle manuel affects both job and exp.. Only specific to job only manuel is job manuels,

On a similar note and because I don't want to waste manuals trying it myself, but do any manuals stack? As in, can I use a HE Battle Manual/BMX3/Job Battle Manual and get even more experience, or does the last one used replace the previous?

BMX3 and Job Manual stack, but other than that I don't think you can stack EXP manual buffs.
