I have this bad habbit of helping poeple out. I think to myself, what if i leave him alone, he may die...

In TI map, there's no mercy to others if they're not one of our/your party member :wah:

Ok, guess I will play devil's advocate alil bit since I can't login. I am just going to focus in on the nogg TI. Simply put, the map is too fkn small! It is SOOOO easy to confuse your mobs with those of another. Even then so mobs that are on party mates. You can stand and wait, but the mob will always get killed by someone else, whether it was yours or not. So in the end, you turn a 30min TI into a 2 hour TI. For a TI like this Nogg crap, I think everyoner should just spam as fast as their little fingers will allow and let God sort em out. When I Psychic Wave on that map, no matter how hard I try, I will KS someone. The AOE's now are all so huge.

Then you have 2-3 parties racing along the same tight pathways at any given time, it's a recipe for disaster.

This so much. Either remove turn-ins or just remove exp penalty.

It's more about the volume of the map. If there were more maps like Nogg it would be nice. Nogg itself isn't that crowded usually, the problem lies with the turnins when you have four or five parties / players trying to use the same map.

Anyhow this post as a whole wasn't about game mechanics, map size, etc., it's simply about players needing to show a little more respect to others. If the mob is attacking someone and they're not in your party, 99% of the time you're not doing them any favors by killing it.

I'd like nogg better if there were more connections between the islands so you could get away from other parties if your lead doesnt have gwings.

Another devils advocate: half the time if you're following your tank, they get offscreen and then you dont see their health bar for a few seconds while it registers. In that time, you've probably already KSed without even realizing it. I generally try to not KS but at times, its just unavoidable, especially on my WL where jackfrost is gianormus. The one time I did stop to apologize the person got pissy at me and teled off after some choice words so I don't even bother anymore. /shrug

If you keep your party window open and showing the name of the tank, you will always know your tank is your tank because the bar doesn't take a delay in showing. that is what I do.

Playing devils advocate doesn't really work in most cases. Yesterday I was soloing the ID turn in on my chaser(killing a mob, in like ~8 seconds at most). Then there was this walking party, where a sorcerer walked directly to me while I was gathering my mob, and Psywaved. Then he said "sorry, I didn't see you~". Two seconds later, a few monsters started spawned on me and started attacking me, then their ranger walked in, and ASed my mob again, right after sorc had just apologized.

I don't think KSing the little mob I could gather will give them thousands of exp. To every KSer out there, have a little consideration about the people wasting their supplies and time in the mob you come to steal.

problem with that is that you have to memorize exactly what your tank looks like so you can identify them on sight, since if you try and mouse over them while their hp bar hasn't reappeared, to verify that the person standing there is mr 'drknizz_K1ll4H' and they're in a huge mob, you'll probably snap to a monster

as a priest i have lost track of some party members because they have come on screen, but their health bar hasn't loaded and i can't remember what they looked like, and the party screen is doing that lag thing where it shows them at 0 hp. so i'm running around trying to figure if they're actually dead or not :S

but yeah 99% of the parties i've been in have just ploughed through the same area as other groups, not giving a flip. then again, so have the other groups. it's a new mindset in mmo games that you have to get used to

I think my main issue is that I can't tell who is in my party. There's a delay between when a character shows up on screen and when the HP bars show up. Everyone looks the freaking same these days, and sometimes I'm like "OMG, our sorc is gonna die!!

It's usually pretty easy to tell if someone is struggling with a monster/mob. If they're getting hit a lot and not landing a lot of hits, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind the help. However, if they're doing good damage but just takes a little longer than a AS Ranger to kill the mob, just leave them alone!

"I'm just helping them out" is a lame excuse, IMO.

I do appreciate the people who actually apologize when they don't see me there though. So thanks!

you think rangers are worse? Try soloing and meet a genetic with decked out god items... Cart cannon have god to be the best dps skill in game ever... no delay no nothing... and you just get ks like that... I mean even before they made rangers op.. genetics are just bad @_@

KSers are horrible on Ti maps.. There have been members of said offending party that double back to kill what little monsters are left after they are done ksing me and my AB. Though those same parties get pissed when my AB retaliates with pneuma. In the past, if I see a dead sniper/biochemist/royal guard I would stop to ask if they needed help/res but nowadays when I see a dead ranger/genetic/Rg on the turn in maps I find myself smiling.

Accidental kill, or mis understood, or being nice, its like helping an old lady get up from a fall.then shell yell at you that she doenst need your help and she can manage, hate that kind of person.
