I used to get emails when someone pm me on forum, it helps alot specially when im away(work) . I tried setting up my settings but it wont work like before, anyone can help?

Apparently they didn't configure the necessary protocols for email notifications when they upgraded the forums.

Because setting up the forums to use your SMTP server that's already installed on 99% of all server installs is "technical" and Gravity would just mess it up.

I really wish they'd re-enable this... I get a lot of PMs for advice and help and I'd rather just get the email popup

If I can figure out how to do it with virtually zero instruction on a fresh phpBB install, I'm sure they could get it working here. Oh, wait, they're running IP.Board. If they can't get it working all it takes is a quick call to tech support! Please, do slack more.

It's crap like this that makes me wonder if, when I get out of the military, I should get a job with Gravity to bring a little military production precision into the mix. If we (the military) can orchestrate the complex symphony required to keep 40 to 50 year old aircraft flying, surely applying some of those same principles would make things like this a cakewalk.

They haven't decided if they will re-enable it or not for bandwidth reasons I think.
