I was exploring a little bit of RO2 today, and during one of my quests this happened..



I never thought Eremes Guile would be saving me. Usually he is too busy killing me.

I smell a complex plot twist that will lead into trust, friendship and betrayal to only be found out that betrayal had to happen for the complex plot twist to exist.

I really hope they do a very good job dubbing these scenes. They should get some voice actors Nexon used for it's voiced cutscenes in one of their games.

If I can get emotionally involved in the story, I'm sold. Same reason I'll buy every Final Fantasy ever made, even if combat is pong.

same reasons except for 13 and 13-2 those couldn't hook me to save its dam life.


but I doubt Gravity will hire good English voice actors, I say pay good money and get great Korean voice actors then give us subs, Im sure it would work 1000x better than trying to find good English voice actors -.- no offensive to our voice actors but they fail.

What I'm really looking forward to is listening to Heim's female voice.

I really hope you guys decide to dub it. It would just seem higher quality. I think people would be impressed. Most localized games are dubbed now, and having real voices for all the characters would be much more immersive. And since it's a mmo and most importantly a RPG immersion is a big thing. Not only for cutscenes, but voices when you engage with NPCs as well. Ask Alteris to hook you up with the Nexon voice actors.

They only fail when Funimation takes over the dubbing.

And I want to start playing RO2 now... The more I see of it the more I like.

Could really make it special and have members of the community audition for parts for the voice acting. I wouldn't mind lending my voice to a NPC or two.

Careful with that Heim. Depending on the cast you pick, dubbing it could make you or break you.

I dunno about these community dubbing suggestions that pop up. I don't think those would be seriously considered, but I'd much prefer professionally recorded voice acting, regardless of the language. Ability to act well aside, the recording quality might suffer if you start letting others have at the dubbing.

Anyway, if you can't get a quality dubbing for whatever reason, I think the decision of sub vs. dub is easy. A good dub might add some to the game experience, but a bad dub just makes things seem amateurish/low budget. If it won't be great dubbing, I'd say leave it in the original language for sure.

I have a real account. I was lucky enough to have a awesome friend give me one back during the first RO2 beta back in 2006 ( I still miss GotW, RO2 needs Sword Sticks), so now I use it to help show people the game.

Sigh, that sailor kitty hat makes me look so fragile and pathetic amongst these two guys I hope they add more epic looking outfits down the road. I'm excited for what kind of stuff we will get cash shop wise. I forsee that leaving a dent in my bank account.

Swordsticks, I loved this weapon concept.
