Heh, finally decided to rebirth my Blacksmith. He's only been a Blacksmith for 8 years now (and is the oldest character on my account), so all I can say is "It's about damn time!"

Thanks guys! And I power-leveled him to Mastersmith in about 4 hours today. Made me realize that I need to over upgrade the heck out of two weapons - my +6 Orcish Sword and +4 Fireblend, both of which need to be at least +9. Laugh at the choices, but consider this for the Orcish Sword - it is a Level 3 weapon that can be used at Level 5, by a Novice. You make one of those a +9 or +10, there are not many weapons in the game that will beat it in terms of power or flexibility for the first 25~50 levels, class-dependent. In fact, the only one I can think of is the Gungnir, but that's only if you're making a Spear Swordie.

Nice. I have a +10 quad hurricane main gauche and +10 double hurricane double ancient mace for my noobs. And of course elven undershirt/hard pantie. Never even noticed orcish sword could be used at lvl 5 lol,

For armor I use a +5 Hard Padded Armor for the classes that can wear it. Makes slaving them so much easier since they can take a couple of good hits with it on. Granted the armor is outdated, but I've had it almost as long as Dice has been around, so it's proven it's usefulness throughout the years.
