Texas has executed 282 men that were later found innocent based on new evidence and technologies. And Texas controls the content of most textbooks since they purchase more than any other state and have systematically removed the civil rights movement from history textbooks. And if you'd like to fight IRL I'd gladly accept.

I don't agree with the death penalty and believe it should be abolished, there are 3 states this year I believe that got rid of it and/or put it up for a citizens repeal on the ballot. Its also pretty statistically proven that it does not deter crime. I don't know about recent text books but we learned about the Civil Rights movement.

You know what the death penalty prevents? Repeat offenders.........which is pretty much what I want from a murder conviction.

On another point 282 people sense when? The formation of the state of Texas? And were they exonerated in a court of law or is it one of those "we have proof...........oh you wanna see it...........well............you cant. We lost it" kind of TV show numbers.
