Which Bow is better and with what cards

I am new to the renewal system so need this info, if you can help me. (Returning to RO after around 3 years
Archer/Ranger class:
I used to use the +10 composite[4] with 4xAbysmal Cards [MVP] & 2xHydra + 2xSkel Worker [PvP]
Now the damage calculation/mechanics seems to have changed a lot.
So I am kinda confused as to which bow to use for what.
Which is better and with what cards out of this.
1. Big/Giant/Large Crossbow[2] ----- (I am not sure whats its called Big/Giant/Large )
2. Elven Bow[1] + Elven arrows
3. Orc Archer Bow + Steel arrows
4. Glorious Hunter Bow --------- ( I don't if the hunting arrows stack with this like with the normal hunter bow)
Which cards for what purpose.
[MVP]
Abysmall
Archer skeleton
Race & size cards
Turtle General card
[PvP]
Hydra + skel worker
Spectre Samurai
Memory of Thanatos ( is this also known as the TT card )

Elven bow + elven arrow is the good general purpose bow, especially if it is +14 and carded with beholder master (I think this is the combo for ASPD). Great for Arrow storm and hitlocking
Orc archer bow + steel arrows is a crappier version of the elven bow + elven arrow. I believe this is the best bow/arrow for arrow storm shadow chasers at the moment. Also no card slots.
4 slotted composite bow is mainly used in pvp for statusing players and then switching to another bow for damage.
This information is from the top of my head and may not be completely accurate as I don't play a ranger in WoE/MvP. Mine is still only lvl 115.

[Occult Impaction] style damage ?? as the Memory of Thanatos card says.

Also, what exactly is the
[Occult Impaction] style damage ?? as the Memory of Thanatos card says.
I don't quite understand it.
Occult Impaction does more damage dependent upon the target's DEF. So a high DEF target receives a lot of damage. Ice Pick has the same effect.

Ok, I seem to understand that now.
Also I tried something and found that if we slot both both Thanatos & spectre cards it doesnt work.
Example -
Any Good Bow [2] with Memory of Thanatos (2nd slot empty) = Double strafe = 6xxxx
Any Good Bow [2] with Memory of Thanatos & Spectre Samurai = Double strafe = 6xxxx
These are the results I got on calculating on a monster with DEF 400 & a monster with Def 100. (Here the Double strafe is around 4xxxx)
So basically I feel that putting both the cards is useless.
If anyone has any new insights on this please share.
So iam still confused which bow for Mvp with what cards
and which bow for PvP with which cards.
Can someone clarify on this please.

Any Good Bow [4] with Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos

If you're going to be MvPing, you'll need a high level Bow, like Elven or Giant Crossbow. A +14 Elven Bow with Beholder Master Card is great if you're going to be a 193 ASPD Auto Warg Ranger.
As for having a Thanatos Card? Unless you get a +14 Giant Crossbow, put it in a high upgraded Elven Bow. Guilds will love you(and hate you) for unleashing some deadly Arrow Storms.
And DO NOT put a Thanatos and Samurai Spectre in the same bow! You won't get more damage output and people will seriously troll you badly for doing so! Place them in two separate bows. If you place them in a Giant Crossbow, compliment the second card slot with a Hydra for PvP/WoE, Abby Knight for MvP, or Archer Skeleton/Valk Randgris/Turtle General for all around damage.
Also don't use Double Strafe to calculate damage. Use Arrow Storm to get a good idea of your damage since this will be your mani arrow skill.

Any Good Bow [4] with Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos & Memory of Thanatos
Thanatos Card doesn't stack like that. Plus putting 4 in a Composite Bow is utter crap. You'll only get the Ice Pick effect once and the other 3 cards will do nothing. Also the damage output will be considerably lower with a Comp Bow due to its low ATK power..
As stated, your best options for carding is as follows.
1)+12-14 Giant Crossbow+Thanatos+Hydra/AK/TG/AS/BM/Valk/Etc
2)+12-14 Giant Crossbow+Samurai Spectre+Hydra/AK/TG/AS/BM/Valk/Etc
3)+12-14 Elven Bow+Thanatos
4)+12-14 Elven Bow+Samurai Spectre
5)+14 Elven Bow+Beholder Master card
That's it!

Dude, Memory of Thanatos cards do not stack, I calculated and checked it as well.
The Damage dealt is same while using 1 card or while using 4 cards!

What you are saying is absolutely correct, the Thanatos cards doesn't stack with itself, not does it stack with Spectre.
So it seems that -
MVP - +14 Giant Crossbow[2] Memory of Thanatos + Abyss or Turtle
PVP - +14 Giant Crossbow[2] Memory of Thanatos + Hydra/Turtle

Does the Magnum Break proc with Ranged Attack, I mean if the Ranger is using it, and hitting a monster or player with his full Range does the Bagnum break trigger?

And yes Kalandros is right, Valk Randgris is also a good card to consider as well since you get 10% more damage, an unbreakable weapon, and chance for Dispell. If you're attacking at 193 ASPD, this can be quite annoying to people.

Mag Break should proc with Ranged Physical Attack.

- Increases physical damage by 10%.
- Adds a 5% chance of using [Dispell] Lv 1 on the target when doing a physical attack.
- Makes the weapon unbreakable.

as he said For example best case scenario is vs a royal guard who will most likely have every buff to tank you with lvl 1 dispell he wil no longer have those buffs to tank you not sure if defending aura counts as a buff since I dont play RG but if it does valk card will be very helpful along with if you are using a samurai Spector you can ignore their high defenses.

I think you'll also get more damage from Hydra than Turtle General when attacking demi-humans.
If you're using Big Crossbow for an ASPD ranger, it's not worth using it just for the +1 ASPD effect at 120 AGI..... You probably won't max out DEX since you'll be relying on auto warg, meaning you'll have more LUK than DEX. You're really missing out on the Arrow Storm bonus this way. Better off with an Elven then......
These are the best bow/card combinations:
Arrow Stormer = +14 Big Crossbow = Hydra + Memory of Thanatos
ASPD Ranger = +14 Elven Bow = Beholder Master + Valkyrie Randgris

you mean one or the other right? i'm assuming randgris card would be better if you have tons of zeny and can get 193 aspd without the beholder master card
