Anniversary Quest glitch?

So, I'm going through the class quest on my Mastersmith when, much to my annoyance, I realize that I ran out of healing items right in the middle of the escort portion. I wing back to town to restock, and now I can't get back to the quest map via the NPC in Einbroch. Does this mean I have to hoof it out to the field (and if so, what field), or am I pretty much SOL here?

Oh joy. Now I get to fight through the Lighthalzen Mobsters some more. Looks like I need to sharpen my axe again.
