i have like 40 mil exp pooled so far....

That only works to a certain point. Won't go straight to 150. Pretty sure highest you can get on that is to 100 and 98.5%

Beat me to it, I think stored exp is capped at 30m.

then the character login screen lies about how much exp i have... says i have 39 mil exp and some change...

I beleive the way it works is that you may continue to gather exp into the exp pool and it is not limited. However, when you job change only a portion of that will be used. It's like killing an mvp with a lot of exp... say 25 mil exp. If you only need 10 mil exp for 1 level and 11 mil for the next it only uses 21 or slightly less because you can't get 2 TOTAL levels from 1 lump sum of exp. Max percentage for one lump sum being about 198.5% or 1 level and 98.5% of the next.
Hopefully that makes some sense to you.

If you have Loyalty skill - sure, else you should definitely NOT level it up beyond 99.
Sucks for Geneticists who still need many days of feeding :/

My vani is lvl 80 and it's still awkward. It's like we, the players, have renewal leveling speed while homunculus are at pre-renewal "leveling" (by which I mean feeding/evolving).

Also for those who gave me advice on mercenary use, thank you. I made my high novice to 99 genetic in less than an hour. Was quite amazing.

It took me a single BMX3 to 139 -> 140 on my GX at scarabs, with x2 exp. I'm on my way to 150 without using my 21k medals :3 I'll keep those for job exp I guess.
