I noticed some maps are worse than others for that... Around every corner, KS without shame. >_> So I avoid them even when the EXP is nice. For some reason, people think Payon Cave is a free for all area? :l

well, considering the population density on some of those maps were at least 4 players to every 1 monster... kinda can't QQ about that. No way to actually prove you were on the map first, and therefore more important than everyone else on it.

Monsters respawn. It has nothing to do with being on the map first, it has to do with getting the monster first.

All I know is for the first hour of my grind, I didn't hit anything, trying to be considerate and not KS. Common decency means falling behind the crowd, I suppose.

It can be annoying, but there's plenty of maps, you don't have to grind on the popular ones.
I've found a decent one with peco's and a few wolves on and it;s completely empty.

Payon cave and training grounds you essentially were helping people by ksing since if you didn't stack kafra gears you couldn't solo anyway, but the mage situation at wolves is obnoxious, mages need to be slapped there. Like if a party member is risking her butt pulling 8 wolves, you're not doing her party a favor by stealing one.

I haven't been ks'ed at all, not even once. But then I'm in the upper level maps with like 0-3 people each :3

Yeah i know i was in training grounds (a couple hours ago when not many people are there) and like there were about 4 spores just roaming around and some dude just comes up and starts attacking mine.. like wtf?

Probably so used to bots that many have no qualms about just ks'ing for their exp.
And why not?
The bots got overly aggressive and ks'd too.

Either that or just a lot of people with assholeitis.

Never met a bot that KS before, but I can usually KS bots with a provoke or lex…
But it seems now Valk is a much better place with a lot of the snobs gone to Classic~
