i think with the newest patch atm sword is better at everything

Sword for both pvp and pve.

Sword = acc.
Spear = A-speed + M-speed atm.
Axe = Critical.

Sword is the best atm, it gives acc passives.

just so you know the passives for each type, sword/spear/axe, will work regardless of which weapon you are using.

The only thing you won't get is the extra attack power passive. You can also use any of the skills from each.

I have an axe champ with all 4 aoe's and the movement speed and accuracy passives. This may limit the total number of skills you can get...

...but for a pvm aoe farmer the axe has the highest base attack power for skill spamming.
