So you just started out and you need red potions but you don't have enough money to buy them? There are several ways to get red potions without spending zeny. Head over to Payon or Alberta.



If you're in Payon, head to the east side of town until you find this guy.



Tree roots drop from Willows and jellopies are extremely easy to obtain from Porings, Drops, ChonChons, and Skeletons. Other players usually just leave these on the ground, so go hunt some Porings on populated maps and you'll find they've picked up all sorts of things.



You can also get red potions for 10 jellopies and carrots for 3 jellopies in Alberta.



There's another way to get red potions, but it costs a tiny bit of zeny. Go to the merchant guild in Alberta, which is the southwest corner of town.



Head inside and take the door on the right and you'll see this guy. He'll trade you herbs and bottles and a few zeny to make various potions.



There an NPC in southwest Geffen that collects shells, jellopies, and chrysalises in exchange for red potions.



And also an NPC in south Alde Baron that will exchange worm peelings, feathers of bird, and jellopies.



It's a bit more labor intensive from picking up all those items and collecting herbs, but it's totally worth it if you're broke as heck!

i'd say that this is a good and nice idea.. this should be pinned..

also.. maybe put a screenshot of the map emplacement too? (like that shot from alberta) would help.. cause yes it it nice to see those guys, but so close don't indicate really well where they are on the map.

Should also mention that Jellopy for Red potions is a bad trade. People will pay more for jellopy than the cost of a red potion. No one wants to farm those and you need a ton of them for various quests.

Due to the high price of Empty Bottles, the alberta alchemist is a bad deal for making red potions. Better to vend the bottles (for 300z or w/e, less than the discounted price to make em sell fast) and npc the red herbs.
