Good or bad idea? It would encourage people to work on job levels and learning their class more than just bum rushing to level 150.

Level differences shouldn't affect statuses at all. They should just change 150 of a stat to immunity to statuses and take out the level difference thing

They should push status immunity towards cards and using additional equipment. I wouldn't say using Job Level per say for Renewal, but for classic, it could offer a good change in game mechanics and balance. Looking at Job Levels, they're really over looked. I would agree being Job 50/70 would be a GREAT idea.
Status reduction/Immunity would be based on:
Job Level / 2 = Status Reduction Rate
Class -Based what your class is you gain reduction from a particular status ailment
Stats - Based what your stat's are you gain reduction from a particular status ailment
With a combination of Stats, Class, Job Level and Gear a player should be able to gain status immunity, all or none at all.

I like the idea, archer classes would be sucking though lol. Usually no motivation to job 50 them.

Siren's Voice is useless because it has job level resistance on the formula.
Remove the base level resistance from all skills then and I agree.
