I was wondering if this skill build would be a very bad idea.
I was thinking about getting a light epsilon but i definitely dont want to swap weapons all the time.
What do you think? Is devotion lvl 1 bad?

terrible. wtf do you plan on doing with that build? you either get sac maxed or not at all
Pretty much my reaction. Not just sac, though. Very few skills in RO are useful unless they're maxed; the skills are balanced to be good at max level, and hence, they suck at anything other than maxed level.
Particularly in classic, you cannot get away with a jack of all trades character. You need to do one thing, and do it as well as possible.
Also, moving to swordie forum.

They are torture to level and require a hefty investment in weapons.
But if you gotta play one, try something like this build:

or this one:

Honestly when playing a shield sader I prefer to have Magnum Break 10 because its the only mobbing skill you have and will do nice damage with a good weapon. I also prefer to use one-handed spears.
But then again I don't advise playing a shield sader. Not worth the hassle. Shield Pally on the other hand...

If you want to go devotion you can't afford to get heal. You can do devo/shield or devo/gc.
My Sac/Shield build: http://irowiki.org/~...10JkeKcIliuF5cL
Sac/GC: http://irowiki.org/~...JkeKcGkFwf2n1cL

If you say devotion is poor at lvl 1, what would you suggest as a minimum, lvl 2 or lvl 3 and why?

You get Sacrifice (as it's called on iRO) to 3. The perfect balance of duration and number of people you can reasonably keep alive sac'd.

I've played RO for 8 years, why would I do that? It's no fun.
Well consider yourself warned

If i get sac to lvl 3 its heal lvl 1 then. I could also have 2-2.

Also getting heal 1 isn't worth the skill points.
May as well get a heal clip.

Hi guys!
Q1: I was wondering if this skill build would be a very bad idea.
I was thinking about getting a light epsilon but i definitely dont want to swap weapons all the time.
Q2: What do you think? Is devotion lvl 1 bad?
A1: Yes its a veryx100 bad idea.
A2: Do you know the cast range for level 1 Devotion (a.k.a Sacrifice in iRO)?
Lv 1 - Duration 30 secs - Cast Range 7 - Target 1
Lv 2 - Duration 45 secs - Cast Range 8 - Target 2
Lv 3 - Duration 60 secs - Cast Range 9 - Target 3
Lv 4 - Duration 75 secs - Cast Range 10 - Target 4
Lv 5 - Duration 90 secs - Cast Range 11 - Target 5

If your goal is to sac 3 people, with lvl 3 devo you would have to wait until it falls off to refresh it, since the skill will just fail out. With lvl 5 the range is great, and you can reliably sac 4 people and spam it without worry.
Forget about heal until trans, you just can't fit it in a devo build.

Funny, I always thought playing a character that was good at one thing was more fun than playing a character that wasn't good at anything... which is what your proposed build would be.
