Do you get more zeny from OC'ing a huge amount at once? Or would it end up the same if you OC'd smaller amounts constantly?

Its the same, you'll get 24% more no matter how large the bulk is. It's just alot more fun to save a ton then sell.

back in the OLD days people would place their Merchants next to a popular NPC with a sign up
[DC/OC items 15/15%] or if there was competition [DC/OC items 20/20%]

well the key was they'd tell you how much they would get for the loot
then you'd calculate 15% more and they'd trade you the items and you'd trade them the
example
guy says its 10,000 for him
you'd calculate the extra 15%
boom 11,500
actual price to you is 12,400 (lvl 10 OC)
profite for him = 1,500
profit for you = 900
so theres really no reason to scam ppl since you both win
then you'd calculate 15% more and they'd trade you the items and you'd trade them the

Well scamming did happen. If you had a large OC i would never go to a random. I played back 2000-2004.
