so generally launcher bourg is better for farming?

It all depends on how you farm.

Launcher will require a lure, but it's capable of killing groups much more efficiently.

Gun on the other hand is more suited to solo farming, especially when it comes to single targets.
For example if you wanted to farm Eudy wing pieces, then a gun is more appropriate since the Eudy's are all spaced out.

Feels weird quoting myself.

Low end areas using a medal of retrieval might be better using a Gun Bourg's Zulie Storm skill.
Since you should be able to one hit kill them in the low tier levels without needing a target to skill.

Just keep in mind that a Launcher may require MP food regularly or Bonfires/Mana Flames overtime, hence it's much better suited for party farming.
Sikuku Prison for example favours the Launcher much more over the Gun.

I have been running my bourg and artisan both from the charts you provided.

question is my bourg is level 117 now and I have been upping my skill points with con all the way up and str to hold the weapons. is sen really needed? if not i will continue doing those stats up till 215

the arty's I have I will say this. I have upped all of my skills of weapons and defense before even doing a craft. I have a strong mofo now which is nice because I prefer playing alone and farming and now the crafting changes since I came back require you to at least be beyond the item you are crafting to either successfully make it and have decent stats.

jie84 this may apply to you above.


I have not used and specials because with a hardened or even a legendary gun your powerful enough rather than using the skills. and the hunter chicks really run it anyways.

my vote would be no special skills like twin shot and hypnotic...blah. I have used them in the past and since than reset my toon and stayed away from them.

Good guide. But they really should remove the aoe from gun bourg. Its pretty useless and takes a lot of time to cast. Gun bourg are the weakest of all classes. They better remake the skills.
