I noticed in the announcements it said that the chicken mounts would be given out September 3rd, after you've spent the 3,500 points in the item mall.

I logged on today and I had forgot to open my special package, the one you give all little newbies when they start out,
and when I opened the level 50 one, the chicken came out of it. To double check, I had my fiance log on his character
who also had the box unopened, and his came out of the box as well.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it was intended, but considering it says September 3rd they'll be released, I figured something was wrong..
and the fact that we're the only two that have it.

It breaks my heart to put this post up,

As far as I can tell it is intentional, so Julie is safe...for now.

Should have read this sooner, i would have done the leveling for lv 50 just to nab the mount.

it just seemed odd to me that it came out of the leveling box.

Both my fiance and I spent 3500 points already in the item mall to get it,
so I'm not sure if it's giving it to everyone, or just people who have spent the points-
haven't tested it. o:

The mount given via the new player box is correct.
The mount should have been bound to character but I can see that it is not, so for now it is account bound but will be character bound in our next patch.

Shouldn't it stay account bound, seeing as we spent item mall points on our account as a whole in order to get it? :|

The mount you have is for new players so it is bound to that new player.
The mount we give out though next week should be as you assumed for the account to use and play with.
