Is anyones getting this bug where they cant restart quest after 3 hours cooldown? I am getting this on a few chars.

The cooldown gets an extra hour (so 4 hours) if you log out or change maps before it expires. This is due to the known cooldown bug. The GMs are painfully aware of this issue and are awaiting a fix from kRO.

Closed, since there's not really much else to say on this. We know the bug sucks, and you're welcome to whine about it in the thread I linked to. Unfortunately, that won't get it fixed any sooner. If we're lucky, it'll go away when we turn the clocks back - since I've got a feeling that'll happen before we get a patch for it :-(

Edit: Err, changed my mind, not closing this just yet, in case OP isn't able to do it again after waiting 4 hrs.

I understand that theres an extra hour cooldown if you log off dr azzy, but, my cooldown for the back to school event ended 1 day ago and i can not restart the back to school quest. The timer has ended like over 12 hours ago. This isnt a minor bug...........THIS IS FREAKING BROKEN!!!!

Well, not sure what is going on but its been another 12 hours and i still cant restart the back to school event on my ranger. The cooldown timer is not even listed on the quest log(i checked the active, inactive, and all section).

I've run into the same problem except I have no timer.
There's a quest entry that says "Back to School" - "You have begun the back to school quest"
Everytime I talk to the girl in Lighthalzen she just tells me "Thanks again for agreeing to talk to Manuel! I can't wait to see him at the school."
No way to restart the quest...

*Can still do the math quiz fine, once every 4 hours.

One way to fix it is to reduce original quest timer by an hour

that's for that other extra-hour problem..

I ran into this problem too... but only on certain characters. It looks like it's because the quest was broken after maint and any character that tried talking to her was stuck with the permanant timer. Then later on they fixed it, but in a way that did not helped the characters who already tried talking to her.

So I guess any char that talked to her within a day-or-two after maint is simply out of luck. =/

We will need to fix the individual characters if there is a case of a character that can't advance due to "being left out" of a fix. At the very least we would need to look at the specific character so we can adjust the quest to take those cases into account.

If you wrote into the GM team then there will likely soon be an email to the quest team so that we can fix the NPCs and your case.

I tried to talk to her .. 3 hours passed long time ago, but I can't get quest to repeat.. only started today

Ok so, this bug was fixed for awhile since last maintenance, I was able to repeat the quest couple times, but now it's bugged again. On the same character, same situation except no quest entry nor timer in quest logs.
And I know at least one other person in the same boat.
Is this worth a ticket? Or would I be getting another "We're aware of the problem and are working to fix it" type of response.

Got same thing, I talked to Gramps in Eden to warp to Kobolds, after that no timer in quest log and NPC won't give me quest to talk to Manuel..
