I had this problem when i try to Alt +Q with the (200 prize medal hat). Everytime i log in Valk server i got this

Wait, I'm confused.

Does it happen when you alt+Q with the hat on, or does it happen when you log in?

After i Alt+Q, then every time i log in i got this. It appear righ after i chose server in the list.

Try running the patch directly with an admin account. Translation: Go to your RO folder and run Ragnarok.exe as Admin.

When did you install the game? Did you notice the hat showing up as "unknown item" or looking like an apple before it started DCing you?

You probably need to replace the Ragexe.exe client. Talk to Inubashiri to see if you can get a replacement.

I installed a long time ago. Yes, the hat looks like an apple "unknowing item" before it DCing.

Well, that explains why it's not working! You missed a patch - this seems to happen randomly, by a low chance. Always has.

First, to make the char usable again, log onto a different char, do alt+q to hide equip window, then log onto the affected char, and equip a different headgear by doubleclicking on it in the equip window. Now there's less urgency in resolving the problem.

To solve the larger problem, you can try forcing a repatch - delete patch2.txt and patch.inf, and start RO - the patcher should start installing patches from the beginning of time. This may take hours.

Alternately, reinstall RO from the 14.2 client installer.

Or, even more alternately, get a copy of data.grf from a working client (HUGE file - so much so that this is may not be practical)

No, this is the wrong fix for this problem; this is not a problem with the executable.

I reinstalled got some error like thumb.bp, manage to fix it and it worked.
