It's been a long time since I've played, and I've honestly forgotten the best build for a Thief. I want to say Strength, Agility, and Dexterity, but I'm just not sure.
Any tips?

Hmm, what you gonna be after Thief? Assassin or Rogue?

Planning to go Assassin, honestly. Better DPS, with higher Agi, if I remember right.
Honestly, I don't know. It all depends on which is the better of the two.

Hmmm...okay. Assassin had better DPS, but if I remember right, Rogue had better attack power...Decisions, decisions...Eh. Assassin. What's the build?

Classic? Renewal?

Ah. If I could make my account on the Classic, without it booting me every time, I would. I'm on the new Yggdra server.

Well then here:

http://irowiki.org/w...Assassin#Builds
http://irowiki.org/wiki/Rogue#Builds
Do the Eden Quest crap for weapons and basic gear which will last you until 99/70 trans.
Go for any of the suggested skill/stat builds on irowiki. (raise stats evenly)
To level up quickly, do the turn in quests you can receive at the Eden Headquarters.
You can get them from the signs that are standing next to eachother.
Each signs quest list will have to be delivered to one of the NPC's standing in the Eden HQ. (varies)
Novice -> 1st Class -> 2nd Class (aim for the build that lets you level up the fastest way)
Rebirth -> High Novice -> High 1st Class -> 2nd Trans Class -> 3rd Class (decide for your final stat/skill build you prefer the most)
Renewal features a stat and skill reset item, so you shouldn't have to worry if you ballz up some things here and there.
Additionally you can test out some of the builds by using the Sakray.exe client.
---
Classic:
Booting, do you mean that annoying "Disconnected from the server" thingy whenever you change map or are you actually trying to play classic while using the ragnarok.exe instead of the classic.exe client?

Shadow chasers (third class rogues) aren't really killers. They are a pretty PvP / woe oriented class mainly focused on disabling other players now. Guillotine cross (third class assassins) do have pretty good killing power.

Ah, Okay, thanks, Kasshin. 'S why I asked here. 'Cause people usually know. Thanks for the help, everyone!

Uh. To answer your question, Morlord, I'd actually been trying to play it on ragnarok.exe, rather than classic.exe. Now I feel a little self-conscious for the mistake. :/ (And yes, it took me this long to realize you'd asked.)
