And i'd like some advices from you guys
I am downloading the game at the moment, and read the classes description.
It doesn't help me much about wich to play yet.
I'm willing to pvp a lot.
So tell me:
Wich class does good AOES, lvling up fast, and good DPS?
Wich class has the most crowd control?
Wich one has the longest range attack?

I'll try answering your questions.. in the meantime; if you have more, just keeep on asking!

Okay so...

Good AOE would be ... umm.. mage.
Though all classes have AOEs, but mages have the most of them. Though unworthy might as say because they can't tank. Boo-hoo!
In terms of leveling, I'd say.. because they have the highest DPS.. would be Ranger!
As long as you can kite mobs pretty good you'll be alright. They get Movement Speed and Attack Speed that helps them with that!.

Crowd Control would go for Clerics and or Mages.
Clerics have Silence Skills, Fear Skills (If casted on the enemy, will cause the player to run like mad involuntarily), Slow Skills (Targeted).
Mages have the Silence, Stun, and AOE Self-Cast Slow AOE..

Though anyone can do crowd control with the power of Maestones.
Some Maestones have disabling skills like the ones above and many more!

Longest range attack would obviously rangers..
not unless a warrior decides to hurl rocks and drop the sword and shield..
that muscle would be able to throw a huge boulder from one map to another... for sure..

Hi Chigikogou,

Thank you for answering, it says more than the simple description they have on the official website
I play requiem, and my main character is a shaman ( forsaker ), this class has some kind of ground fear, and a slow, rest of skills are just DPS (one aoe only).
Doing great in pvp with that class with a so so gear, i want something similar for a start on Maestia.
Any suggestion on wich i shall pick?

i would have to disagree.

Warrior with a 2h using the top skill tree would be the fastest to lvl,also at 68 they end up having 2 aoes,which is more then enough for a warrior.Plus with Maestones u can get more AOES.

Also wars have good cc.They have a charge that stuns,a silence,a slow,and get another 2 stuns from both tress.They do however have bad range,except for the charge skill.However Unless u pick the top skill tree u can't use charge while in battle.


I say this having got a warrior to the current lvl cap,as well as a ranger,and only 7 lvls from cap on a cleric.Another thing warriors r the easiest to do Expert Dungeons on with just a cleric merc.Which is needed since it's hard to find a group some times

Sounds intresting, but i don't like much melee classes, I think i'll go for a mage

Mage carries alot of burden called HP pots and dying alot..

Setill, a mage or a dark priest would be best for your play style Dark priests have a bit more cc than mages but rely a lot more on DoTs as opposed to straight up DPS. Plus one point in a heal always does justice.

I tend to have a tougher time taking down a geared dark priest than a geared mage (as a warrior)...and in terms of the pvp in this game; it's great! Until you hit 51, because hardly anyone does the 51 RvR and the 61 RvR is usually one sided.

Dark Priest is a certain build off the 2 branches of the class Cleric.

sooo if you wanna be a Dark Priest, means you have to level a Cleric, and add skill points towards "Dark Priest" category.

When it comes to cheapest and fastest leveling, it is archer without a question, as you can have no downtime while grinding if you play your class as it should be played. Dark Priest is fairly quick as well, especially when they pick up lava explosion. Warrior requires either a) cleric merc b)dp pots or c) maestones to keep them healed otherwise they will have too much downtime. None of which a new player is going to start with.

I know its pretty stupid, that's why Maestia ended up like Requiem, 70% of players are Euro. When they got blocked, we became a ghost game. ;(
