For PvE (but this will also work in PvP, mainly against other melee players):
1) Ornaments: Reinforced ones filled with HP xeons (the best you can afford) and some critical xeons (normal 0.30% or IM 0.50% physical critical, if you prefer). How many from each one depends on specific needs, if you require more HPs or better critical chance. For pure tanking purposes you can have a MC set filled with HP xeons.
2) Armour: I have always used pure def xeons in my armour pieces. Yes, yes, 2700 cap and all that... The more, the merrier I say. And yes MORE actually DOES work. What to use? The best you can afford, RH scales, IM Short def xeons (15 def) and so on. I personally think putting stat xeons into armour is a waste, unless you have some really cool raid ones to spare...
Net result of the above ---> Very high def, High CON and HPs, still nice damage and decent crit rates, what else would you need ...

i m commie lv 69, i tried using reinforced supernuss ornamnent + 15 , enchant 5/5 critical xeon, theme battle sword and shield 65 , seamless polar amor + 10 not enchant , i still feel so weak again other race especially ele,shaman,ranger,avenger,... , they have proctector or radiant buff, i cannt do anything
yeah prot/rad buff does make melees life harder
get resistance ornament from theme battlefield and enchant resistance or con into armor (ion mine ones) and you should do better but ranger should not be a problem tbh

Unfortunately, in battlefields there is pretty little you can do against the MASSIVELY overpowered caster / ranged attack classes. At least until you hit level 74 and can have stun immunity, prepare to take some serious beating. All you can possibly do it increase further your resistances in order to reduce the magic damage dealt to you. This is only a minor consolation though, since this RETARDED game happily allows any semi-competent bozzo to cast spell after spell from one mile away while jumping, running, laughing, farting etc etc. While as a melee class you have to sweat trying to get close so you MIGHT land a hit or two (and all you have is a lousy skill called rush to get close). Such is the life of melee classes in Requiem, at least in pathetic PvP, so you need to have a steel resolve to avoid frustration and disappointment... http://forums.warppo...tyle_emoticons/default/308.gif
