Manual Patch

hey guys

i just got back to RO after a few years. I am having issues with the game. I installed the game but for some reason Im unable to extract the manual patch. can some on tell me how i can extract this with winrar or if i should use something else? because when i do it win winrar it just simply beings our the file and doesn't actually patch it. 

Without this, I'm not sure if this is the issue or something else but every time i try to start the client it keeps saying failed to connect to patch server.

You cannot manually patch if you get "failed to connect to patch server" - the game will refuse to apply the patch in this case.

You must resolve the problem with the patch client not connecting. 

If you're on Comcast, it fails frequently - keep trying and it'll eventually go through. Sometimes I've had better luck going to patch server in IE to make it wake up and start resolving the patch server address  ( ftp://ropatch1.gravityus.com )

If that doesn't work, or doesn't apply to you, see if you can connect to the above URL in a browser. Then check if you can connect to it using IE. Post results and we'll go from there. 

what do you mean by IE?

IE = Internet Explorer
