I agree with many of these reasons but! i think the number one is the lag, really i play many other games (won't name em dun worry :3) and none has this crazy lag, at least on the Classic server wow just i don't understand!

kRO has abandoned the auction system (likely because a proper auction system would nearly nullify the vending skill). It doesn't currently appear like they have any future plans for it.
They have also completely abandoned the entire mechanic class though, so might as well just make vend obsolete and put in a real auction house system.
No seriously, even with their 2 years of patches ahead of ours, they still havn't put in a way to resummon mado suits so that all mechanic players can participate in instanced game content like biolabs, endless tower, and all the countless instances they have in korea now. To deny an entire class access to 50% of game content seems completely insane to me.

Lets just say kro and the iro team knows the life of iRO is coming to an end. Thus, the attitude is, forget about the past as players are still playing, so they already accept the bad mechanics. But we should keep dumping new stuff (meaning kafra items), and getting money before the whole thing finishes.....
It is an old game, its not going to be revived in anyway no matter what they do I recogn especially in iro anyway. Reason why iro's population is growing is jz due ot the recent merges and closing down of other servers.....

I'm told that whoever disabled them initially was fired and shot in the face.

This is because Mechs were intended to multispecialise. Mado till it breaks, then Axe for the remainder of the journey. I can assure you that an Axe Mech isn't even remotely weak, as the Mado passives extend beyond the suit being equipped.
Mado is a unique supportive niche filled, albeit temporarily, by the Mado tree of skills. It's not what Mechanics *are*, it's an aspect of what they are, in much the same way that Homunculi are an aspect of what Alchemists are.
e: But I totally agree that the Axe tree needs a few buffs, especially Axenado. And yes, before anyone mentions it, I know Alchies can resummon Homunculi; Homuns aren't nearly as versatile as a Mado Suit is though.
