Raise onslaught and vital stab and low blow? or just raise quick attack enough for max speed? or both? shield strike seems good but is the stun really worth it with its cooldown and short duration? Bother with the taunts at all or ignore the "prot without taunt = fail" remarks? (which I don't mind doing btw
I'll probably want some self healing and restraint rescission which I'm not too clear on what it removes exactly since I've only seen it in wikis..
If shield mastery brings block rate up to 91%.. would anything more be pretty much a waste or is there an idea behind getting over 100 block rate? I imagine 100% block rate wouldn't make you unkillable unless I'm misreading the stats and it's block def it's increasing instead of blocking success chance?
Thanks for your time!

A Protector at high level only serves one single goal in PvP: stand in front of your team and be true to your name of meat shield or, be a feeder.
Protectors have nothing for PvP. No slows, no silences, no immunities, no dashes, no damage, no roots, nothing except your 3 seconds stun.

Thanks.. that pretty much answers everything in a neat lil package for me..
Guess I'll be a PvE protector who participates in PvP.. so with that.. what's suggested offensively for pve besides low blow?

You should probably look at the Commander class if you're planning to be more offensive. o.o

its all about balance really.. getting the maximum possible defensive capabilities and making it able to kill.. or at least help kill and occasionally kill steal in pvp lol..

They should be and still ARE the best tanks. But, in my eyes, that's about it. Always talking about the present not the past glories (?). In PvP I cant see that much use for a Protector, other than being a true meatshield and a distraction.
However... A high level Commander, with good gear and solid build... Can tank anything, can slice and dice anything, can be fear incarnate in PvP (well, maybe with some strategy added). What else could you ask for? Very high def, very high HPs, quite high damage, aoe and DoT skills, and a plethora of other useful skills, and, yes, ADAMANT MIND. In short, a top Commander will survive many fights and enemies and will leave many dead bodies.
