What to think about this game when a VEP is intentionally glitching the game.....

Baelphire (VEP) and among other Exodus members are glitching the AH with honed equipments. 

 

So if you throw in your honed weapon, and then cancel the auction you get completely new stats. 

Now everyone knows, let the chaos begin.

Don't listen to the people that for some reason say ALL of the community wants a rollback, because not all of us do. If we can get compensated for the MP/BP/KP spent for the Honing system and still keep all the exp/drops that we've gotten today, I'd personally prefer that. But get rid of the Honing System for now.

We are assessing the pros and cons of each right now, and want you to know that our goal is to make sure you players are not harmed severely by our decision on this.  The maintenance likely will not be short due to the db work that will have to be done and additional development to change/remove the system.

They haven't confirmed a rollback yet, they just said they're weighing the pros and cons of their options... wishful thinking is great and all... till reality hits you like a brick.

We are removing Honing to further test it before it returns.

What part of "assessing pros and cons" do you not understand. I understand the compensation will be given out, but the rollback isnt officially addressed. People are still asking if there will be or not. Why don't you read it again?

Tonight we will be having a maintenance to address a few hangups and concerns with the recent update.  It should be a very short maintenance period.

 

1. Long range Kafra transport to and From Morroc should be cleared for takeoff and landing.

2. The 100% chance honing powders will become tradable.  So if you acquire any you have a marketable commodity on your hands.

3. Honing for high stats shouldn't unintentionally set the stat to 65000 plus

4. Potion effects have been enhanced, and will stay enhanced as the intended fix for potions being lack luster.

5. Camera Shake Toggle has been added to option.

6. Anti-aliasing will default on (though your personal settings will override)

7. If you are stuck try the /escape command, this is a 60 minute cooldown.

8. Honing system is being removed to further test the issues it had. We don't have a date yet on when it will return.

9. All Kafra Cash spent today will be returned at some point tomorrow (this takes time).

10. All durations will be extended by 48 hours for today.

 

Things still being looked at for future planned update, honing resets and other ways to acquire the no-element items, also we should be getting back into seeking class/skill balance phase again.

 

Currently Dev team is working on getting the last of the kafra routes fixed and the honing stat giving huge bonuses, we may need to delay the maintenance to later tonight, but we want you forewarned there is one planned.

 

There has been considerable spirited discussion in the community about what to do with the honing system tonight.  Anywhere from fixing it and doing reasonable point compensations, removing it and doing point restorations of the honing powders, all the way to full removal of Honing system and character rollback to this morning (giving up about 12 hours game time).
