Yea....seriously. When it comes to a hardware replacement....do you really care that you can't play a few hours to ensure in the future you can?

They rather the staff do it late at night so that they plug in cords in the wrong places and make the server explode. :gg:

More staff in during the day, not peak play time for users and better to have things run long earlier in the day and not have people working overtime.

The issue is concerning our database drives needing to have their data moved over to a safe place. Copying those files over is the most time consuming part of the process.

You have to understand that WarpPortal is a small business. Most small business can't afford to pay network technicians overtime during the weekends. By law they have to pay these high cost techs overtime which is very expensive in America--especially in LA. If they don't do it today then we would all have to endure the horrible lag through this weekend. It will be worth it for WOE tomorrow.

Well i suppose a hard-drive upgrade wouldn't do much in context of better sever response.

eh? Thanks, it used to be Uji when I first played buut that was long ago. and before the merger so I had UjiL next to my name so I changed it to Rem...for personal reasons lol.

Patient guys. Lets enjoy our life for the moment, and let them do the work. Too much ranting and QQ will not help make this better or faster.
Doing technician work really requires a lot of time (tweaking settings/testing/reconfiguring/etc).
Lets hope them will finish it faster AND WORKED OUT PROPERLY this time.

It'll do much more than you think!
A lot of Ragnaroks data is fetched synchronously. Ex: You walk on a portal, it has to query that event data. This requires a harddrive read.

While changing the HDDs out would likely have little effect, if they actually upgraded them (faster read/write), you could see a pretty good improvement.

Appreciated! However (there is always a 'however') It is okay to express our frustrations. This does not mean we don't love the product, and in most cases, it won't lead to a loss of many customer's business, however, I'm sure Gravity would want to know when and if something they have done or are doing may lead to a loss of business! :p_love:

enough ranting and QQ might facilitate a dbl exp... so I go for it...

besides in 10 past midnight, its dark and cold outside... I wanted to do my TI quests for the day

and I am a nice customer... I give them my money... how can dare demanding that they make good on their part of the deal ;)

The website used to have server clocks. Its a nice feature, should be re-implement it.

Thank you very much for waiting! The hardware maintenance has been completed and we were able to successfully transfer the massive amount of data from the troubled hardware to some nicer ones. To say "thank you!!" for being patient, we have put in double exp and drops for the week.
