Heim has given me the OK to start a *final* compilation thread with renewal bugs. RO volunteer mods will be adding and removing bugs as they are discovered and fixed.


== Skills / Descriptions ==
  • Meteor Assault can deal more than 1 damage to plants
  • TKM Solar/Lunar/Stellar shadow no longer adds aspd, even when player is job 50.
  • Kaite description does not mention that it now increases damage from non-magical attacks by 400%
  • Hover does not protect against ranger traps or ground targeted magic as the description says
  • Cannon balls are always un-equipped on death resulting in failed cart cannon skill upon revival until a cannon ball is re-equipped
  • Gatling Fever is bugged and it is coded to the wrong ASPD modifers. At level 10 with 99 Base AGI it is only giving a +1.5 increase in ASPD while it's counterpart Last Stand is giving the correct ASPD of +5
  • Cantocandidus: This skill name needs a space, Canto Candidus. (players dont like one long word)
  • Coluseo Heal: This word is spelled "Colluceo Heal".
== Items ==
  • Elven Ears [1] can no longer be equipped by novice classes, despite saying they're all job
  • Bloody eater [2]: The description states that swordsman job characters with a minimum base level of 50 can equip this weapon, however, this is not the case - it now appears to be trans only.
  • Ranged weapons (those based on dex for damage) do not receive overrefine bonus
  • Glorious Holy Avenger description doesn't match effects (wasn't this fixed prenewal?)
  • Angry Snarl description states that it gives 6 defense, however, it does not do so.
  • Weihna [2] poisons the player when using Sightless Mind instead of the targets.

== Translations / Interface Text ==
  • The button on the friend and party window that enables and disables the opening of a conversation window when a player's name is double-clicked is ambiguously labelled â??function enabledâ?? (when enabled) and â??function disabledâ?? (when disabled).
  • Geneticists show up as Generics and Maestros show up as Minstrels in Guild and Status windows
  • Skilldesctable.txt has updated skill names. skillnametable.txt needs to be updated so that the skills have correct names above the player's head when used.
  • The wording and formatting of the log messages for the use of skills is very awkward:
Chaos heals himself, as viewed from Chaos's client: â??To [Chaos] use [Heal] skill.â? to â??[Heal] is used on [Chaos].â?
Chaos heals Loki, as viewed from Loki's client: â??[Chaos] hasTo [Loki] use [Heal] skill.â? to â?[Chaos]: [Heal] is used on [Loki].â?

== Other Quests / Features ==
  • Acolyte training quest gets hung up part way through http://forums.warppo...-aco-quest-bug/
  • Merchant training quest has missing alt-u entries and hence crashes the client when you try to click them in the quest log. http://forums.warppo...nt-quest-crash/
  • The Sign npc (the one moved from the dungeon) is missing on Valkyrie server
  • Eden clocktower 71+ quest bugs, NPC repeats instructions even after completing it. Unable to start another eden quest because of this.
  • Monsters in Endless Tower and the Izlude Arena are very mismatched with their levels, making it practically impossible for lower level characters to do them
  • The Finding the Moving Island Quest requires 30 logs, which are now very hard to find because the Umbala Dungeon is gone
  • Ayothaya Dungeon entrance quest - Boonthom asks for for 2 Transparent Cloth and 2 Fox Tail, which should be renamed to their iRO versions.
  • Some skill quests appear to have bugged for certain characters (not getting the skill when completed).
  • There are many maps on which, for no apparent reason, you can't memorise a Warp Portal point, such as the Morroc Ruins (moc_ruins) and Juno Field 8 (yuno_fild08).
  • +% heal effects only effect part of heal formula (possibly intended, or could be a parenthesis mistake)
  • Transcendent classes no longer get First Aid for free. Transcendent classes are unable to start the First Aid skill quest. Hence, anyone who transcended after the renewal update cannot get first aid at all.
== Monster Spawns ==
  • Arclouze and High Orcs are mingling in clock tower, their level difference is rather annoying.
  • Dragonfly should be moved back to another map on Valkyrie because there are bots on the map it normally spawns on (moc_fild18), which gives the bot owners control over the primary source of clips.
== Client Errors ==
  • After mercenary uses HP UP!! due to reaching 50 killcount, it's current HP no longer updates. Suspect this is client-side. Prior to renewal, this worked, and HP is still tracked correctly (just not displayed).
  • Party search system ding won't stay disabled when checked off after restarting the client
  • There is no way to enable "Flag 1" through "Flag 10" (as seen in the emotion section under shortcut configuration)
  • If you feed a pet or open a box of Kafra Food, you can't use the hotkeys until you click the keyboard and press enter twice.
  • Using butterfly wings or flywings causes random gravity errors. Having Auto-Guard up gives you about a 50/50 chance of grav erroring when changing maps or winging.
  • The client does not recognize WoE2 broadcasts as WoE broadcasts. Because of this, WoE2 broadcasts can not be confined to any particular tab.
  • In trade windows, the name of the person you're trading with is overlapped and thereby obscured by the window's title.

Hover does not protect against ranger traps or ground targeted magic like the description said on Ygg before my char was reset.

Medals are going to be disabled until after the race is over, so I would assume it'll be fixed when it comes back.

  • Boonthom asks for for 2 Transparent Cloth and 2 Fox Tail, which I don't think even exists. She used to ask for 2 Needle Packet and 2 Spool. I can't complete the quest with the old set of items and therefor cannot enter the second level of Ayothaya Dungeon.
  • The monsters in Izlude Arena don't match the level categories they are in. In the level 69 bracket Kobold, a level 100+ monster, is one of the target monsters to kill! Desert Wolfs are also spawed.

Can we post things like "Replace the warlock's job change Naga's for regular Naga's" and "have the 'quick info' menu show up when you expand and minimize the basic window when its is docked on the bottom of the screen" or do those belong in the proposal section?

  • Secrament: This should be spelled Sacrament.

== Fixed ==
Secrament is currently using the skill icon for Aid Potion on my client and on several other people's clients. It had its correct skill icon in testing. Corrected 10/19

Headgear Creation Quests remain un-localized.

Among the Headgear Creation Quest, Frog Hat, Solo Play Box 1, and Solo Play Box 2 can not be made due to missing server-side alt+u entries. Given that those quests use regular quest variables in addition to alt+u, It appears anyone trying to take the quest now will be unable to complete them later when they are functioning.

ASPD Modifer for Gatling Fever is WAY off what it should be. When compared to the Skill Last Stand which holds the same +20% ASPD modifier you can notice a HUGE difference. I'm not good at math but I do know if one says +20% and the other says +20% you would think no matter what you get the same answer right? not get two different things. Images included from what I did


1 AGI
Weapon- Drifter
BASE ASPD - 150
GATLING FEVER - 154
LAST STAND - 160
TOGETHER - 164

As you can see Gatling Fever is only increasing ASPD by +4 while the skill Last Stand is increasing it by +10. So even with 1 AGI you can already see how the ASPD modifier's are not the same

99 AGI (thanks Atreya for the buff <3 )
BASE ASPD - 176
GATLING FEVER - 178
LAST STAND - 181
TOGETHER - 182

with base 99 AGI Gatling Fever only increases by +1.5 and a little more damage at a cost of half your flee and movement speed which automatically destroys the purpose of Gatlings. Last Stand increases ASPD by +5 and what makes it worse is for +200 atk you make yourself a sitting duck for +6 ASPD(I'd much rather accept the +10 than +6)?

This here is a massive list of bugs and complains that will NOT be fixed in the latest kRO Ranger balancing patch or any patches up to date.


Bugs:

Hunter Class Branch Specific:

Remove Trap and Sensitive Keen from a Hunter Class Branch cannot affect Rogue Class Branch's traps and vice versa.

Aimed Bolt, and Arrow Storm can be used without a Bow as long as you have Arrows equipped.

Trap damage can be reflected back onto the Ranger using Melee reflect equips like Valkyrian Manteau or Skills like Shield Reflect and possibly Spell Shield (did not test this last one).

All Ranger Traps do not receive a 4x Duration bonus in WoE Maps like Hunter Traps do.

All Ranger Traps cannot be casted on Magnetic Earth.

Using Warg Dash while having something in front of you will consume SP, put you into After Cast Delay and yield no effect. It should instead show a skill Failure message and prevent the SP consumption and After Cast Delay.

(No Screens for this one because I can't take a screen of nothing happening.) While using Warg Dash, if you are immobilized by a Status like Stun or a Skill like Ankle Snare or are blocked by Sheltering Bliss or Basillica, you will be unable to do anything until you:
1) die.
2) use Warg Dash again.


Other Bugs that affect the Ranger and other classes:

Forced Neutral skills like Rapid Smiting (Paladin), Hell's Gate (Sura) and Ranger Traps (Cluster Bomb, Fire and Ice Traps) can be endowed with element to do bonus damage but still miss on Ghosts. I am pretty sure other forced neutral skills are like this too but I can only confirm these ones.

2 handed Weapons do not receive Over Refine Bonus which gives a random bonus depending on your weapon's level. kRO 03/17/2010

GX Poison's cannot be consumed to poison yourself. kRO 03/24/2010

Frost Misty's Freezing can affect the dead and if you are revived, you will still be Freezing.

Diamond Dust's is giving the wrong status. It is giving the Status that was supposed to be used by Cold Shower instead of the unknown status that uses the Diamond buff icon Posted Image while Cold Shower is not even giving this status at all!

Hunter Branch Skill Description Errors (I can provide screens if needed):

Arrow Shower still lists the old damage mods even if they have been doubled in Renewal.

Falcon Assault's description has a needless and distracting break in it.

Aimed Bolt says bonus damage is deal on enemies "immobilized (by Ankle Snare, Electric Shock, Warg Bite..etc)" but there is NO etc this skill only deals bonus damage if the target is affected by these 3 specific skills.

Fear Breeze level 3 says it has a 7% chance of activation but through testing it is considerably lower than this. I only got 4.6%. Here is a package of 170 Fear Breeze Activation within approximately 3700 attacks. You can look at my remaining Arrows. Don't forget that each bonus hit from Fear Breeze will take an Arrow.


Cluster Bomb says it has a damage mod of 100%/200%/300%/400%/500%. When in reallity, it's 300%/400%/500%/600%/700% damage mod.

Detonator says its "Skill range is 7x7 around the trap" but it is 7x7 around the targeted area.

Fire Trap's says it has a 3x3 Area but it is actually 5x5.

Ice Trap's is incomplete.

Warg/Wug Tooth level 10 has a strange "^7777 Atk +60".

Warg/Wug Rider says it cannot use any Bow attack or skills that are not Warg exclusive but does not mention that trap skills can be used.

Warg/Wug Dash says it requires Warg/Wug Strike to deal damage but it doesn't.

Warg Bite says it has a 10 second duration + increase from Tooth but actually has 20s + increase.



Shackles say they give 18 but only gives 15.

Sorry if this is off topic a bit but, Clogon why mention that the bugs will not be fixed in the latest kRO patch? I don't see why just because kRO has bugs we have to have them too... I might be misunderstanding something but it seems like you're telling people to not mention the bugs you just reported because they won't be fixed anyway. If thats what you meant to get across, shouldn't you just report the bugs and hope that at least on iRO they do get fixed?

Not really a bug, but something Renewal related I'd like to see changed none the less.

The new Genetic boosts and consumables don't list the characters name on them. While I understand that having a name on potions is to show which are ranked and which are not, I know many players who would like this to expand onto other crafted items. It adds something of a personal touch.. And allows us to feel a bit more pride in our work. Some of these are quite difficult to make!

Please consider it... Please?

I think this might be important too.

For a couple months before renewal hit The Sign became account bound. I know it was originally character bound, but because better things have come along to replace the sign (medals of honors etc...) which were made account bound, the GM's changed the sign to be account bound rather than character. I just now went to place it in storage off my gunslinger and I can't place it in storage. I originally did the quest on a Rogue a few years ago. Will this be fixed soon to go back into storage?

Bugs with geneticists:

Bug #1: Cannon balls are always un-equipped on death resulting in failed cart cannon skill upon revival until a cannon ball is re-equipped - fruit bombs possibly have the same bug but I have not had time to test this yet.
Expected behavior: cannon balls / fruit bombs stay equipped just like archers arrows.

Bug #2: When cannon balls are equipped the chat logs says "arrow has been equipped"
Expected Behavior: chat log should say " cannon ball has been equipped"


Obviously #2 is less severe.

Cannon (Cart Cannon and Arm Cannon) are forced neutral and will miss on Ghost monsters even if you have the spiritual Cannon Ball equipped.

The Ledger of Death has not been updated to activate Hell's Judgment when used by a Sorcerer.

Please update the Ledger of Death to accommodate the addition of the Sorcerer to the Sage job line.

Ummm, they are not forced neutral. Tested on magmarings and lava golems, with a hurricane sword mace a ice endow from a scroll does the % extra damage. It's probably the same bug they have had for years where your element doesn't hit ghost just like the cart revo skill, even though revo USED to hit ghost a long long time ago.

Soul Exhale:

I was under the impression that Soul Exhale was supposed to work as follows in Renewal:
(Scholar's SP + Target's SP), Give 1/2 that total to each player.

How it is currently working:
Gives 1/2 Scholar's SP to Target, Takes half of target's SP and gives to Scholar.

So instead of indulging to 3k, exhaling, and giving each player 1.5k...
It gives 1.5k to target, and gives 1/2 of the target's previous sp to the Scholar, making it impossible to get the other player to 100%SP without other means of regen.
