You'll notice in your ro2 launcher that it displays " [critical] we are addressing a hackshield update problem." now, which it wasn't before so at least give them credit for A. Creating this thread and B. Updated info on launcher.

Just to be fair in regards to the costume contest, you should probably boot everyone before applying the fix so we all have an equal chance! Or after the fix is confirmed to work so people don't miss out on playtime.

An ETA would be really nice right about now......losing so valuable play time here......not to mention, that I was doing fine, then got DC-ed....tried to log back in, game patched, then hackshield bs.....planned on stay logged in for as long as possible. They should really either reset that launch event or remove it completely.

Right, so I downloaded the game on Steam a couple of hours ago expecting to play. Rather stupid of me, because this happens with pretty much every F2P game launch (though this is worse than usual) but I've spent the downtime researching the problem in case there was a possible fix.

Eventually, I ended up here. It seems to me that this won't be gone for a while, which is annoying. At least I'm not particularly interested in the launch events or anything.

I think I'mma have a quick playthrough of Cave Story and try this again afterwards. Hopefully, 3 hours will be enough time. >_>

EDIT: I also find it kinda funny that most of the people posting here, myself included, are "Playing: Nothing" XD

Never put all your eggs into one basket. Dunno what I'm trying to say exactly. But it feels right. LOL Funny though that no company has ever had a flawless game launch. You'd think they'd learn from other mistakes made. But such is life. If something can go wrong it will. Damn laws!

Actually, I was up when the game launched 8 hours ago and it worked fine then I played for 2 hours, went to sleep and woke up to the hackshield problem. So tecnically, the launch was fine, you were just late ;D

And since it's -Hackshield- problem, not RO2, I doubt it's not something that gravity has that much control over, since it's not their program.

But yes, I do hope myself that this will be fixed soon, since I wake early to play more. xD
