I guess that both Mayas being called Maya is one heck of a coincidence, then. Now I'm curious about the origins of the RO1 Maya.
And that description of Drake sounds odd. A lot of things sound like the Day of Despair happened before the RO1 timeline when it obviously didn't.

(Slightly off topic... does anyone know a place where I could catch up to the storyline and lore from RO1? I've been playing for only about 4 years and I feel like I've missed out on a lot of stuff from reading the discussion here. I've read a couple lore threads and done as many quests ingame as I could, but I'd like to know more. Help is very much welcome! ^^')

Well, I think I read somewhere (can't find where was it now) that Myung-Jin Lee wasn't part of RO2's development anymore. I guess that explains why RO2's lore is kind of....off.
