Really? I hadn't really thought of that. Hmm.. what to do with that last point. It's good, you should take a point out of Summon Spirit Sphere and put it into either Throw Spirit Sphere or Crushing Blow. You only need level 4 to get the most Fury Explosions for dps. You could put it into Intimidation if you want to try hybrid, I'm not sure if it's necessary to tank though, since I don't tank in RO2. Stats are nice and even, if the rumors are true and monks will get agi on their gear thats the best stat build for most damage I believe.

What do you mean by "only need level 4 to get the most FE for dps" ?
150 -> 120 sec is more valuable no ? FE is a 60 sec cd so hmmm

Yes, so you cast:What do you mean by "only need level 4 to get the most FE for dps" ?

FE, SSS, FE(1 minute cooldown)
At this point both FE and lvl 5 SSS are off cooldown, but lvl 4 SSS still has 30 seconds, so you cast FE and level 4 SSS is off cooldown when the buff is over.

That's something I didn't consider, if you have level 5 SSS and you use at as soon as it's available and FE is on cooldown on a 10 minute fight you can get FE buff 13 times. With level 4 SSS you can get it 12 times. Without using SSS you get it 10 times.dont need to wait for buff to run out to reset the cd of FE, it would cripple your total dmg on a long fight (5+mins dunno) thats my opinion tho
If you increase the fight time to 20 minutes, 5 SSS gets 25 FEs, 4 SSS gets 24 FEs and 0 SSS gets 20 FEs.
Even if a fight were to last 20 minutes long, which I don't know how long end game raid bosses last, level 5 SSS is still a very minor increase, but you're right, it's still an increase. So, I guess it's up to the player if they want that 1 extra FE or if they want the 1 point elsewhere.

Read the numbers again, they speak by themselves, a Crit Monk (or AGI Monk) deals a little bit less damage than a STR/INT Monk, the calculations were obviously made taking in consideration the number of criticals you do among those 100 hits.one thing im seeing in these threads against crit monks is they are forgetting the CRIT part. to the person that gave the number vs a str/int monk yes WITHOUT crit that monk would deal less damage but that would never happen since the crit is alot high it is gonna happen more so the crit monk WILL DO more dmg than a str/int.
I don't mean to offend you but discarding the data and the calculcations given in a very objective way is like playing a fool, math doesn't lie.i dont care how you look at it, cut it, slice it any way from all sides in the end a crit monk will do more dmg just because they are criting. its the same if you have a pure int sorc or wizard vs a agi/int sorc/wizard. the agi/int will always win hands down.
I'm sorry that you didn't like what you saw, but like I said the difference in damage between a Crit Monk and a STR/INT Monk is only of 4% less damage, it's really a low difference, meaning the damage made is still good.

Target Stats Build: 33/33/32 STR|INT|AGI
Monk:
I am not sure why no one has mentioned this, but you have spent a total of 50 skill points.

also u won't need to waste zeny for stat reset, when monk gear gets some agi stats later on.
For levelling, raising int is a must unless you're a masochist during your acolyte stages

1) Why do people believe that you have to stack AGI for it to be useful? Don't you get the same benefits per point at 10 than you do at 100?
2) Take a look at this page: http://forums.warppo...rds-agi-vs-int/
Since Magic Power, Attack Power and Crit scale the same way for everyone, the chart near the bottom of the 1st post should be true for Monks also.
Great discussion so far (from most of you), I'm definitely going to be making a crit monk myself due to its versatility.

Do you really think we will get a higher lvl cap later? LIke higher than 50 or maybe even the other classes like champ and such from RO1?Agi will probably become an important stat when we get a higher level cap with new jobs.

They've already announced that we'll get high caps, rebirth, and third class jobs eventually.Do you really think we will get a higher lvl cap later? LIke higher than 50 or maybe even the other classes like champ and such from RO1?
"Is your team planning to bring back the Third class and Rebirth class system to RO2?
Third and Rebirth system class will be reintroduced again in RO2. However there will be some changes made to the Rebirth class system. In RO during one Rebirth, the character would start from the beginning again, whereas our team find it hard to start over and they find that Rebirth is a process to change into Third Class rather than from the beginning of the game again.
With this, we are planning to do a level of update whereby the Third and Rebirth Class will be introduced by stages. The Third class system somewhere in the first half of 2013 and the “Rebirth” shortly after."

Lets say Rogue A grabs agro from Boss
Rogue A stays in melee range and you use your Taunt skill
Rogue A still gets attacked.
If Rogue A backs out from its range, the boss will automatically switch back to highest threat.
If the Rogue does not move, it will be harder and maybe impossible for the switch to occur.
Keep an eye on your threat meter also, some Rogues, Assassins, Rangers and Sorcs can pull some pretty insane DPS fast

It works but only to regain the aggro you built up after you died, not to add aggro.Shout doesnt work for me sometimes, I have found it very useless unless I use it on a mob untouched. Meaning if I don;t have the aggro allready shout is not going to make the difference. I don;t know manybe I am just a noob but does anyone else find this skill rather useless?

So far I've put beast roar at rank 3 and that's enough for me to never run into its cooldown while pulling single mobs out of an aggro pack with it. I'll leave it til last to see if I want to max it out... It's just that nothing else really makes sense for me to put those last points in either.
edit: Meh, just realised I wasn't in the archer subforum talking about bears... Anyway, beast roar, shout, provoke, whatever.
