Dear tanks,
Please stop standing still for 5secs after every mob is killed. Also, please stop chatting unnecessary things because we are waiting for you to initiate combat and when you chat useless stuffs, it'll take our run longer. Lastly, when there's only one enemy, please stop doing AoE because we could catch up to your threat if you keep doing that. Thank you.

PS:
Please know that we can tank 1-2 mob. So when a mob aggro us, you don't have to come after it. When you do that and you're tanking a boss that does a small AoE like Red Scar, you'll get us to the AoE too. Because of things like that, we have to move backwards. Then when we move backwards, there's a possibility that we could step on a trap or agro a monster there and it's really troublesome.

Dear Tanks,

When you chain pull, skills that require us being out of combat don't work. Please give us a least a split second to breath, and possibly use that handy skill out of combat for a sec.

Regards,

The Team

Oh lord, you should never let me tank for you then. When someone joins my party I damn well expect them to at least tell me how their day is going. We usually talk about food too.

I would join your group in a heartbeat, and discuss steaks and hotdogs.

Everyone should play an FS & a Tank at some point in their gaming - spend a little time in each other shoes and youll understand things a lot differently. And for ppl that play only Tanks or FS, they should give DPS a go too.
( I am usually always the healer but im being different this time, yay me )
But ya, not that DPS rnt awesome, but I dun think a lot of them understand the other side if they have never even been a tank ( or healer ). Not that im bashing anyone, im just saying its my observation when I do PUG's ><

Stop using your low dmg DOT (Headcrush), us warriors get it up to 200~ an then you use it and it goes down to 70.

This.
I had a Tank that could do 7x-8x DoT Headcrush on Vadon King, but it kept getting overwritten by a 5x Headcrush.

I second this. I have played as a Knight, Ranger and a FS Priest(though I found out I am not good at being one) and it does help you to learn what each role does in a party.

As a tank, I know what you mean by us standing idle after each mob, but what people need to understand is that targeting mobs takes a bit of time(even if you use tab) and our skills(e.g. taunt) have cooldowns.

With that said, when I play as a DPS, I have learned to be patient when a tank goes idle since I understand he/she is still finding another target or waiting for his usual skill to initialize to come off cooldown.
I also understand the impatience of waiting for tanks to initialize, so when I play as a tank, what I've done is attack a certain mob and increase threat making sure that it won't change aggro and before it almost dies scroll to the next target at the distance and initialize.

It does become hard when I play as a FS Priest to catch up and heal everyone in the party when they start initializing on their own. So as both as a tank and dps, I make sure that the tank has the aggro so at least the Priest won't have a lot of people to worry about in healing regardless of you being able to solo it without heals. This is because when I play as a Priest I get this urge to heal everyone and make sure everyone stays alive regardless if you can tank a mob or not(maybe this is why I suck at being one, I lack priorities in healing).

The Knights/Warrior Tanks DoTs help us to increase aggro(with Armor Aura's 300% threat increase) even if we are not attacking it and as such keeps them away from squishy DPS's/Supports. It is helpful if you are kiting a mob/boss while a range DPS is still attacking it or when you are attacking multiple mobs and you put a DoT on the mob everyone is attacking while you go for the other mob that is attacking the support without the first mob changing aggro on the DPS.

That only works if you can see it/know the bosses "tell".
A lot of the PvE Arena bosses don't have this tell, so you can't blame anyone for getting hit with an unexpected AoE.

You think I haven't done that? They get offended easily lol they think they're lead coz they're tank. If a mob isn't necessary, and it won't be in a way in case someone dies later, then SKIP IT. And if they are going to the bathroom or something, then say something, not just stand there. And if you're going to talk, make sure someone actually cares coz you're delaying the party for bunch of crap.

Next time i join a party im going to have everyone sign a e-contract that states they will not hold me up and will play the game exactly how i want, or i wont party with them.

I've played many games as DPS, Tank or Healer. Or some hybrid of them. And I have to say this: As a tank, you're responsible for keeping the healer and DPS alive (unless they're dumb enough to pull aggro intentionally from you or run off doing their own thing as if they're in charge.) As a DPS, you should always defend your healer first before anything. They're the people who need your saving and attention the most unless the tank is taking too many monsters on. Thirdly.. Healers, pay attention to what is around you. Get out of dangerous situations, stay in range of everyone and most importantly: Call out if you need help or need to rest. People aren't mind readers.

On a slightly off topic note.. I used to tank in WoW years ago. The amount of new healers that cried to me when I pulled 30+ mobs at the same time when I was more than capable of handling them and healing myself at the same time was astounding.. I barely lost health when I was tanking them. And if it got bad, I always saved myself... People should know their personal limitations. I never once pulled too much unless I knew I could handle it. And I hated those healers to know what it feels like to work hard to become a better healer..

I don't know why I shared that story.. I'll say my excuse was that it was story time.

This post gave me feels. I remember being a hardcore Disc Priest in WoW and I would do the chain pulling. It would freak out PuGs but lordy did it work well in a group who knew me.

Dear everyone,

Please communicate expectations at the beginning of party. It makes me happy, especially when I follow the charging tank that stops charging and I pull aggro and die horribly.. because mid-charge, someone yelled WAIT!!

Thank you,
Someone who wouldn't mind random chatter, or at the very least, role in party talk ;_;

Dear Players,
This is a warning to all, who think they know what to do in a dungoen. Here is a list of things you have done wrong the whole time.
- Let Priests Heal, obviously they are better dps than wizards. Why dont let the Wizard heal instead?
- Don't belive a monk being a DPS. Ever felt their double Guiloutine? Hurts right a 5 to 6 k dmg in around 8 seconds? Fu/ck rangers get your monks "Asura"!
- Used HP Pots while Tanking a boss. Lolmao, why did you waste pots if you have got an excellent healer? the Wizard!
- Let a Knight tank. Hello he is a knight! The people with the "Sir" titles and u want em to be on front getting killed in an unfair fight versus Giants? nonon, send out ur Swordsmen and let the Knight do his Job, beeing a noble!
- Playing a Beastmaster. Why should i explain this lololol, hate Fake Druids.
- Activating Shadow Form as an Assassin. You look so ugly that Tanks consider u as a Trash mob, stop confusing em! Wiped so often, cuz of u guys...
- Not playing a Warrior. Best class imo...play em plx
- Healing the Tank. Ok listen, Tanks dont really need ur heals that much! The squishy classes are the DDs, try to heal em more often. And if your Tank dies before u can look after him its his fault, I mean he sure was one of those HP Pot users, who do not trust their wizards let him die.
- Being a Genuis. Cuz u guys mostly are not.

Your Tastay
