Classsic does not have eden. But simple supplies like stems, empty bottles, etc will easily get you your basic equips.

Renewal:
Use Ragial while leveling to find price for loot you find to sell to highest bidder.
Make a merch on another account/same account to merch your stuff/sell loot trash at overcharge 10/buy potions with discount 10.
Rogue class has a skill Haggle that is just discount 25%. Better than merchant's discount 24%.
Rogue can get Improved Dodge: Passive 30 Flee and Close Confine: Active spell that increases Flee +10.
Flee is great but with no perfect dodge a monster, even though you have 95% flee against, could still kill you very fast. My rogue setup http://i.imgur.com/nXchh1q.png.
Quest costum hat gives free +10 luk.

Resistance to some status effects:
Blind: slightly decreases chance from being inflicted

Silence: slightly decreases from being inflicted
Sleep: slightly decreases from being inflicted
Stone Curse: slightly decreases chance from being inflicted

LUK does not effect ingame drop rates, or chances to get a rarer item when killing. It's simply based on in-game percents and not LUK as a stat.
The calculation to see actual CRIT rate: CRIT = [LUK * 0.3] + 1

Eden Equipment Quests give free gear.
You can upgrade the Armor, Manteau, and Boots.
BlackSmith thorn has you do a quest.
Enchanting:
Possible enchantments: Stat 1-2, Def 3-12, Mdef 2-10, Flee 6-12, Crit 5-7.
Everytime you try to upgrade your equipment you get 2 enchantments. I eventually want 2 Flee enchants of 12 for 24 flee.

Level up to a Ranger: Just level a hunter and get the craft arrow ability. Craft elemental arrows. Level on stationary monsters that you can out range ex: Greatest Generals or Geographers. You can use traps to make any monster stationary.

If you ever get to do Eden Turn In Group Quests I think at 75/80+, you notice after you turnin the kill 400 monster quest you get eden merit badges. You can turn 8 of these into I believe merry badger? to get a magical stone. You can with this stone reset your turn in quest timer or sell to others for 7m a piece.

You can even level up a combo monk/champ/sura to use Mental Strength and be a perfect tank with basic gear. Basically you just sit in your chair/lie down and only use your mouse. Click on a group of monsters, and your character will walk into to them. Gather monsters and group kills. Repeat. Get 400 kill. Leave. Easy.

I've gotten the Badge of Honor on some of my classes so getting 100 merit badges isn't so bad. 100/8=12.5 12*7=84m. You can get 84 million++ eventually doing these grampa turn ins. I think doing turn ins gives you around 100k zeny. You gain 1m by doing about 10 of those.

You can eventually start doing mora quests. Farm quests/get coins. Sell mora gear 4-6m a piece.

I wouldn't try to do every quest up front as you can use a bmx3 and turn in a bunch of high exp quests. Just do a bunch of quests and stop at the step that asks you to turn in the quest for exp. Might take you a while but in the end you pop your bm and go ham. Free base/job levels.

You can buy a rideword had and not worry about hp/sp pots for a while.
Check forum sometimes for active events. The gives you a lot of free stuff sometimes. That last event was 200kp free. You could buy 2 HD Oridecon from the kafra store and sell those for like 9m each. Free 18m.
Some people do custom events. Random chance for showing up and getting randon million of zeny/items.

Renewal is pay2win and is just not that fun atm.

Classic only has lvl2 Eden

And of course it just depends on what mechanics you want to play

hi i was thinking in makin a wiz, but with all the renewal changes i was wondering if safetywall is still usefull since the formula was changed, also, if you can help me with a skill build and pros and cons, it will be great, thanks for your time

Safety Wall is awesome still (i have it on all my mages and priests)
As for in depth skill builds and so on, im a bit on the sleepy side (and its really late x.x) so i cant exactly give you suggestions at this moment xD hopefully someone else can give you some insight on that :x

I'm playing on renewal and even if I don't spend my cash I still have fun. Duckmanneo showed one way how to get money in renewal without using real cash. I would suggest to try both classic and renewal and then choose what you like better.

just thought I'd make a super novice as a flee base with lvl 10 push cart for farming stuff to make money,so I can provide for my future hunter..
