Please fix the skill bug where some skill can not be cast

and it say something along this line "you do not have enough time to cast time skill" 

even though the skill is not on cooldown.

Priority issues:

 


3. Certain class skills are not hitting, not working at all, or put the player into a state where they must log out and back in to fix themselves.

-Assassin's Shadow Assault animation

 

Things that have been reported but still awaiting response 7/10 patch:

 

-Rogue and Assassin's Dark Illusion problems

 

These three issues are pretty much the same, after you "try" to use the Assault, it  automatically bugs you into the shadow assault animation, don't letting you do anything until you restart the game.

Dark Illusion, doesn't hit at all if the player start moving while im casting the skill is it included on Priority issue?

 

Could you explain better the point 3? What class skills?

Treasure Buried in the Desert
Doesn't work. The sparkles indicating an item do not show up on the map making this quest un-doable.

Daily Quest in Sograt Desert: "Treasure Buried in the Sand" doesn't have anything that spawns for you to pick up. Quest cannot be completed.

I assume this is a bug with the recent patch, but the "Advent of the Blade of Holiness" can't be turned in. Firstly, nothing in the quest stated it had to be 3 of either monster in the time limit, but when it completes (successfully), Oliver Graham is nowhere to be found. Changing channels brings up the Crusaders and Olviver, but turning it in nets an error message:

Any thoughts on this? I can't continue with the storyline until this is fixed.

 

EDIT: Just to make a note here, my wife and I were doing this quest together. We tried doing without teaming up in case that was the problem, still had the same issue. Same on her machine as well, screenshot is available if needed. Basically, this problem affects more than one account.

 

i agree, your not the only omne having trouble and that this issue may cause the comunity to shrink. however if i may make a small suggestion to the gravity staff, RO2 GM/Admin team that before uploading a new patch to please open a test server ment only for the staff. where the patch can be tested under the same condition of the actualy server its self with the same SQL data that makes the main server to what it is. in order to eliminate more confinding issues that may cause people to become upset.

 

but opening a side closed test server for all new updates and patches as well as physicaly running through the came as a lvl 1 character all the way up to lvl 50 to insure all skills/classes and dungons/quests are working as well as all raids,colo,pvp/pve and RHD is also running smoothly. all the comunity wants is a smooth game play and if it takes longer to release a new patch such as the marrage and adopotion system or a new raid then so be it. atleast this way it will keep the issues down to a small amount and can easily help decline bugs or miss typed scripts though if needed a small player base could be selected to help with the test server as beta testers. no staff privlages or anything of the sorts other then a joy for helping to speed things along.

NPCs aren't spawning for certain quests.

I'm doing the "Continuous Merman Attacks" quest in Izlude Hill where you have to protect the Merman Resistance Base from attack. I do so successfully but the turn-in NPC does not spawn.

So the Abandoned Lab has the same issues as sandstorm fortress with the cutscenes. Didn't see it on the list.

NPCs aren't spawning for certain quests.

That one has been a bug for a while, at least for me, anyway. I believe you get the quest from Chantilly, but you have to turn it into Putaruta, and then to Chantilly. For some reason, both have the same dialogue (exactly the same). Putaruta is oddly walking around, though. You'll have to find him. He's usually in the area around where you walk in the dungeon, and for some reason, the "?" for him isn't displayed on the map, but it's above his head.

 

Then again, you could be having a separate bug entirely, but I'm unsure. :p_laugh:

Both the "Toy Box" in Verta Delta and "The Treasure" in Sograt Desert started working for me after patch.

aren't those 2 the same?

 

 

Since WoE Patch my skills are being "Remembered" if I spam the button on 0 Cooldown Skills, and they tend to repeat themselves, like Double Attack or Deadly Blow, it feels like they are glued, it's one quite hard to notice, but it also happened with Steel Body on monk.

It's not even spammable skills.

Often In colo I will use Heavy Tackle as my opponent runs away. My char will chase the and if they take damage from ranged I'll spam a different skill button.

When my char gets in range it will still use Heavy tackle even though 5 or more seconds may have passed and I've pressed other skills well over 20 times.

It doesn't help that my Lightning Walk and Throw Spirit Sphere just dont work while I'm moving anymore.

Here's a new bug to add to the list:

 

Freeze / Frozen Status:  The "frozen" state Incorrectly stops players from turning their characters in any direction (via holding right click and moving the mouse). 

 

-  This makes sorcerer's even more annoying, since now they can freeze you and walk behind you as though you were stunned, and you have no way to turn and hit them.  Can easily test by dueling anyone with Frost Diver / Frost Nova.  Attacks still work, but if someone is not standing directly in front of you, you're screwed.

 

 

There are also "rubberbanding issues" where freezing a moving player causes them to look like they're still moving on your screen, making it impossible to tell where they actually are.  On my screen I froze a knight 20M away from me, yet I see him slashing his sword and still connecting to damage me from that far away.  (This should be impossible)

Dark Illusion Problems

1. Dark Illusion can't be used on those who are at a different height level to you (much like the rangers problems and Monk's lightning walk.). 

2. Using Dark Illusion triggers the monster to attack you before your skill has even landed.

3. Sometimes you can get skill locked by using Dark Illusion if you use it whilst someone is running away and try to use it twice in rapid succession, of if someone dies before skill lands.

 

Getting Attacked In Camo

1. When a player around a stealthed person dies, they will become unstealthed and start to be attacked.

2. Also I think mobs attacking players around a stealthed person also rebeals them.

 

AoE Markers

1. AoE marker is laid down on the ground, and then I believe straight away the monster faces whoever has aggro.

 

Chasing

1. If a target changes height compared to you you will stop moving until you move to the same height as them again. People can abuse this by running backwards are forwards between height changes and is very annoying.

False. Any quest that causes a NPC to (re)spawn ... doesn't. Changing channels or relogging causes them to reappear but for quests that require you to escort or protect them, changing channels or relogging will cause the quest to fail. This has been an issue only since the last patch.

 

A workaround is to run far away until you can't see any of the nearby NPCs, and then go back. It'll force them to reload without having to change channels.

Please fix the skill bug where some skill can not be cast

i had that problem too but then realized that the skill was on cd, but the cd just wasnt shown properly

Quests

1. The Saintess Aione escort quest in East Mt. Mjolnir does not allow players to complete. -CbR

 

 

I encountered this bug early this morning and have tried multiple times to fix it by relogging, switching characters and channels,  restarting the client, which have worked and fixed some of the same bugs I've experienced in earlier quests around level 5-9 where the NPCs just disappear and you could not complete the quest. A simple switching channel fixed it. But then I got stuck in this Saintess Aione escort quest because no matter what I do, I can't finish it.

Here are some screenshots I took while "reproducing" the bug after hitting "Abandon" from constantly failing to complete it:

This is the point where the escorted Saintess Aione should disappear and another Saintess Aione should appear in front of me that I can talk to in order to complete the quest. But as soon as you reach this spot, the quest just disappears.

I switched channels, and then Saintess Aione appeared with the "blue question mark" on top of her head meaning I can complete the quest by talking to her.

But when I hit "Complete", I get the message "You failed to get quest reward."

When you restart the client, the quest will say you failed it so you'd have to "Abandon" it and take it again and will end up with the same result and thus getting stuck with an unfinished quest.

I was talking about a bug that previously existed. I'm not quite sure if said bug was fixed, but it was around before the WoE patch, and it's one I've went through on both my Monk and my Ranger. The quest given by Chantilly is, for some reason, meant to be turned into Putaruta, who gives you the exact same dialogue as Chantilly, who you have to talk to right after to actually "complete" the quest, because Putaruta actually does not seem to give you exp for it with his dialogue. It's something I've went through twice, and after fighting the enemies that invade the Mermen Base, no quest icons show on the map. There are a lot of quests that do that, though, and I seriously find it odd that Putaruta isn't displayed on the map, AND he's walking around as well, not to mention his dialogue (talking to him period) is a needless step in the quest apparently, since he just repeats the same thing Chantilly says, then you go talk to her to have her say the same thing. Like I said, it could've been fixed, but who knows? :p_laugh:

 

I can understand that the bug mentioned could've been the new bug entirely where the NPCs aren't appearing properly, but that one happened before the WoE patch, too. It just happened more often after the most recent patch, for some reason... :p_swt:  It's like, bugs that used to not be so bad are now 1000 times worse than they ever were. I mean, people fell through maps before, even in dungeons, but it was rare (or on purpose sometimes). It's like the new bugs make the old bugs even worse, then they combine, and become one big horrible bug monster thing. :p_laugh:

 

But yeah, as for the NPC bug, you used to be able to just bypass it by abandoning (and restarting) the quest, before the WoE patch, and the most recent one. Since the most recent patch, it's supposedly got worse, and, as you said, the workarounds that normally used to work (channel change/relog) don't apply to the new bugs.

 

Before the WoE patch, I had this happen to an NPC you had to escort in Payon (forget her name). She was escorted successfully, but when I talked to her, she wouldn't give me the quest reward, and had () as her dialogue. I went to character select, came back, and she was gone!.  :p_omg:  I had it happen to me on my Ranger. On my Monk, I had it happen to me with Olivier Graham, as in after fighting the mobs, she wouldn't accept the quest. These bugs have been around for a while, they were just minor and rare before the recent patch. Hopefully, they'll go away after the patch tonight. :p_smile:

I would like to add that Shadow Assault doesn't hit or stuns consistently and does not work at all on moving targets (in both PvE and PvP).  As mentioned above, it skill locks and crashes the game at times.  However, I do not see any mention about Shadow Assault on the list.....Why???

 

Shadow Form now DECREASES movement speed if you load into an area such as using butterly wings and going in and out of dungeons while in Shadow Form.  You run slower than you do in a human form.  You will have to cancel the form and recast the form in order to fix it temporarily.  This is also not on the list.

 

Character animation is very choppy!  They are not smoothly consistently as before.  This is also not on the list.

One issue i've encountered after these so called "Bonus maintenance" is/are: I can't mail my other characters that have more than 10 letters in their name. I can't add them as a friend as well. The reply option is working, but making a new mail is -_- bugged??

Things that have been reported 7/10 patch:

 

-Class related issues:

   -Ranger "Object Blocking Target"

   -Skills with queue-type system

   -Delay in using skills

   -Rogue and Assassin's Dark Illusion problems

   -Sometimes harvesting in shadow form doesn't work or becomes strange

   -Monk Guillotine abilities stuns before showing animation - will be changed

   -Battle leap unable to be used when moving

   -Monk and Beastmaster skills/visual issues

   -Priests not being able to heal after using healing skills

   -Spirit Sphere will not hit if the player moves

  -Lightnight walk will give message that player cannot go to that location

-Emoticons show up covering the player’s face if the camera isn’t completely zoomed out. Damage and healing numbers are showing up a lot higher over monsters than previously.

-Level 15 chat channel restrictions has been removed. 

-Certain crafting items are useless in game. 

-Some monsters in Ghost Ship are able to see through Hiding or Camo and attack players. -CbR

-Replacing cards no longer have warning prompt message that it will destroy the old one. 

-Item descriptions stretching out across the page. 

-Item Looting doesn’t work if you face a different direction  -Needs more time

For Monks could you please address/resolve the issue where Throw Spirit Sphere and Lightning Walk will not cast while moving

Using Summon Spirit Sphere still does not reset the cooldown of Intimidation (Monk Taunt). It's been broken since release but since class skills are being fixed I figure I bring it up again.

I already said that it was possible it's a different bug, but the point of mentioning the other bug is for the benefit of others who may encounter it. There are some bugs from the patches in the past two weeks that are affecting people as small groups, and not the community as a whole. I listed the bug as well, because some people may experience that one, too, even if it is an older bug. A person cannot assume that just because they have a bug in a certain area, that every other person is going to have that same bug. Some bugs affect individuals in different ways, for some reason. Like how some people didn't have the whisper bug.

 

There are actually a few of the more minor bugs that haven't affected me, while others do. People are affected by different bugs, at different times. Some will get one half of them, others will get the other half, and some people just get all of them. :p_laugh:

 

Furthermore, the bug that's been mentioned seems to, for the most part, pertain to escort missions. With exception of Olivier Graham, I've not heard of it happening elsewhere (as said, I had problems with her even before the WoE patch last week, so the bug has been there for a while) unless it was an escort mission (the Saintess one, as an example, is a popular one where the bug occurred even before the WoE patch), because those things seemed to bug for people on occasion, even before the WoE patch.

 

I guess this is what happens when the minor bugs get overlooked, though... :p_swt: They grow into the bigger ones.

 

The point is, I was listing the other bug, because there's no guarantee what bugs other people could have. Even if the individual I replied to could've had the bug that's been going on since the patch on 7/17, that doesn't mean everyone will have that bug. I'm simply mentioning it.
