Hi, all.

 

The Noel patch is large.

 

If you happen to spot an error when patching, don't fret, just quit the patcher and re-try.

Additionally, if you spot any issues once you're in the game that look like bugs, or you're missing a certain aspect of the game, please exit the game and run the patcher again. It may be that your patcher missed a few files when patching.

 

There will be a lot of you patching, so the error may occur more than once. We apologize if it does, we understand it's frustrating.

 

As always, if you spot any big bugs, feel free to message Zanbee and I with a screenshot to show us what's happening so we can get on getting it fixed.

The patcher doesn't use the 63(1.62GB) and 64(3.14MB) patch for some reason. I can log into the game normally but there's no option to create noel, just the basic classes.

Tried again, now it's downloading a couple more patches.

Patch 67 is 51.5MB.

The patch will reload properly on second launch.  Exit and re-enter to address this.

 

However, 68 will cause errors for a few people.

Good thing I kept a backup of the new patch files. I won't have to download 89.9MB again.

Prepatched and got in, but invisible mobs and NPCs everywhere as well as no Pirate quest.

I completely quit out and it seems another big patch is downloading, but it's mcuh larger than 50 megs...

Nevermind. it seems that my issues was the same as above. 63 was crawling despite being pre-patched.

Now 68 seems to be hung up.

Gotta love the good ol' "Patch Binding" error. Fails after downloading Patch 68.

Just re-paste it into the Patches folder, you won't have to download that huge file anymore.

Most people would have had an issue if they put the patch in the default "Patch" folder instead of the existing "Patches" folder.

For those that prepatched and are having problems, here is why: The prepatch files end up in a folder called "Patch" where as the game is patching to a folder called "patches." I just moved them into "patches" and it worked fine.

RTP 63 is the Noel graphical update, while RTP 68 is the Voice Over update.  Being media updates, both are utterly huge in size.

 

Due to the late warning, there is no manual patch for the voiceovers.

 

Edit: However, nothing stops people from sharing at least.

My instinct told me to put those files into patches... but I didn't do it.. I uninstalled the whole game, and now I have to download everything from the start!
