I got this error too but after 2 tries it worked, somehow

Manual patching didn't work. And my version.dat file currently says:

UserGameVersion=00000066;

UserPatchVersion=00000066;

 

I'm assuming it tried to update and got stuck in there?? *confused*

Repatched &  its working fine,
Just keep trying, dont forget to open program as ADMIN

now my question is if i have actually correctly download the voice patch b/c theres only 1 option and ...........LOL........

Highly doubt that fix will work for me. Perhaps for others, maybe Steam users, but not for me. It doesnt seem to be the file but the updater itself. I already had this issue before, and the last time, I tried literally absolutely everything anyone can tell me. The ONLY thing that worked for me was to go to a friend's place, download and install the game on his comp, update it all there, and then copy the entire game folder to my comp, ran it, and worked fine. But I can't go bother him all the time whenever we get a maint/update.

For some of you, please try making sure that your hard-drive has enough space. You would need about 12gb of available space for the patch to work.

Oh! And I can't change my character looking.

RTP 68 usually has the issue at the corresponding moment.

 

Sadly, I'm restarting over and over until it finally works.

This is disasterous.  I am hanging on by a thread trying to get this to work, and if it doesn't work within the next hour or so, I am done with the game. plain and simple

The devs accidentally hit the "reverse" switch on some hay in the WoE map, and currently there is giant hay on the map. It won't block you, but will cause an issue navigating if you head into Base 1.

Thats their starting class. You can select the others once you reach 25, think of it as a class change like going from acolyte to either Priest or Monk, but with Noels you go from Alter to either Crescentia or SoulMaker.

 

As for the char looks... I dont know then.
