The problem with the TV analogy though is people knew up front that the items weren't tradeable, though it seems hard to imagine that being the case with the TV. The bound item situation can be incredibly frustrating at times, but that's how things have always been. The devs clearly intend for people to grind out everything per character, so I'm not a fan of even same-account transfers. Temp ban with removal for those traded between accounts sounds fair, removal of items with no reimbursement for those who bought, and strict ban for all who sold.. that'd be a perfect solution in my mind. Now to see what actually happens though..
The devs also intended the game to be fair and balanced for that mechanics to work. About the solution, it sound really perfect, and i do hope that happens.

Do a test and temporaly ban all the exploiters for a week, lets see how populated is the game anymore then do the decision o:
I agree with this... what if 50-60% of population use the bug? what will happen?

I just looked at Sea's change logs for their maintenance today, looks like they just fixed it.
So I guess we can expect that we will get the same patch tonight.

Not sure if it's a trap, but..
Bug Fixed/Changes
▪ Fix an issue with player's profession level able to exceed Level 50.
▪ Account-binded items are now unable to be traded through vendor stores.
▪ Players using customize skinning for their RO2 game client are advised to revert back to the default RO2 skinning to minimize any unexpected game crash. This applies to the following changes done to the VDK files in the game's folder.
1) Customized Collusion UI skinning
2) Chinese support string VDK
Collusion?

Oh.. Those are the patch notes for the SEA server. We probably will get something similar to that on the bug fixes deparment.
Collusion... Why it doesn't suprise me? It is the same server that has all those terribad translations D:

Just ban the exploiters... And if by chance they ban a innocent person, is easier to prove your are innocent than guilty.

Or just remove the illegal item from the inventories, no refunds for those who bought the item and the zeny removed from the seller (or banned).
There, everyone will be happy!

So many good ideas not including permaban to punish people and make everyone happy, yet some numbskulls still think a permaban everyone is necessary. Gotta need to read the Patch Notes again for lulz.
Pretty much after reading the notes, all i can say is: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

People that try to cheat should be banned or at least get an account gear wipe. It's not fair for people who actually play the game. I've opened 30 boxes on my ranger and haven't gotten one piece of ranger equipment.

Yeah, removing the bug-traded items will still make those people win and be unfair with their bug-traded non-existing items! People need to read and stop being extremist.

I just thought about this while looking at the Auction House.
So why not also punish those who are +1ing their items (ie: Crafted Epics) to unbind them? I'm pretty sure that counts as an exploit to me since they are "Bind on Equip" items, and I'm pretty sure they've been used before (I'd test it right now, but I'm too broke to buy something). Unless someone really uses their Karnium to attract buyers.
Edit: Fixed some grammar, and stuff.
But yeah, I still think removing just only the exploited item seems fair enough without a refund to the buyer and removal of the Zeny to the seller.

I remember that people were able to unbind Craft Epic Weapons for AGES. It was way before Crafted Epic Armor could have been unbinded too.
The current exploits that people use (either for the good or bad):
- Humbaba "pull to corridor"
- PvE Einhejar "one by one" boss pull
- Rangers turning invisible as they respawn in colo
- Changing costumes in colo to turn invisible to some players
- Unbinding certian epic weapons by refining
And the ones people used but were fixed:
- CoA: bugging certain bosses
Probably a ton more, I just don't have any other in my mind.

The -_- are you talking about?

Pretty much: Player X used bug when no money is involved -> remove items that were traded using the bug -> player A no longer has the items -> No need for permaban or account wipe -> Player A loses unfairly-gained advantage. -> Everyone is happy.
I still don't get why some people feel that other need to be permabanned or lose everything when there a ton of other alternatives where the bug abuser still ends up with nothing, and with a chance to keep playing.
Excluding those who tried to/had a big zenny profit. Those must be permabanned without mercy.

Good idea, this is possible..... if warpportal has hardworking staff to trace every untradable/bound items that are traded on the "game database". it might take long except if dev made a automated stuff that can easily trace an item on the database..

Or... BAN all people who didn't tried or used the trade bug because they think they are too cool for it.
And!, they are few and will be easy to ban compared to those ppl who used the trade bug? sounds good? haha
go do it WP!!
