Today's Recipe of the week:
Originally fouind at the Papeete Bar at the Tahitian Lanai Restaurant, this drink has been rediscovered by Jeff Berry for his series of Tiki Cocktail books. You should be picking up this book, it's so much fun whether you are looking for some fun recipes or stories from the Tiki Boom in the mid 20th century.
1 1/2 oz 151 proof bacardi rum (since you don't need a lot you can get a small bottle in most Liquor Stores)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz orange curacao
10 oz (1 1/4 cup crushed ice)
Instructions: Dissolve sugar in the lime juice and then put all ingredients into a blender. Blend at high speed for a short time and then pour into a large snifter or Tiki Mug.
