They should just STOP the item gathering for anniversary/special occasion quests. Bots take FULL advantage of it, and it comes down to a "who has the money to spend on the ingredients" fest. Can we PLEASE not get anymore of the item gathering quests? Kill counts with a question period, sure. Full on traveling to 15+ locations that otherwise go un-used to hunt monsters, sure. Item gathering...NO MORE PLEASE.

I thought these quests were supposed to be fun. Like I remember the conquer bylan dungeon one (fought down the levels of the dungeon and got rewarded after).

 

Two hours, 120 points, and a little over half the hunted monsters needed (with vip mind you, this is running around on a warg one-shotting with warg strike while mounted over and over and over).

Plus, I swear most of these people aren't really doing the quest if-ya-kno-what-I-mean.

 

If anything, this event doesn't reward the people who want to "play" ragnarok (if-ya-kno-what-I-mean). :x

 

I don't mean to be completely negative, but here are some suggestions:

Make the drops account bound, unrepeatable (meaning one hat per character, still means up to 9 per account), let vips take multiple monster hunting types, and double the drop rate. >_<

It's almost like you guys are encouraging us to bend...

quest rewards should only be for people who DO the quest... if you dont have time to do the event you dont get the hat... if you dont have time to hunt for a half an hour a day then you dont really have time to be playing games anyway... its not like this is a one day only event... if its not worth it to you to spend the time to hunt for the hat its obviously not worth having to you...

I spent about six hours over the weekend, and stuck with ants for rapid killing with a gank rogue. I netted one hat, one vanilmirth level 14 -> 44, two vitata cards, and one andre card. In my experience, participating in every headgear quest is a useful and often profitable venture.

 

It would have been nice if the kill count quests had actually been repeatable,

 

and botters just need to catch herpes, all of them.

Hmm not sure about bots, but I have seen this person hanging around geffen and prontera at times near the npc that gives you the point. I myself got too tired of trying to gather these stuff that after abit, I gave up. Saw this person nearby with a chatroom and sold my stuff to her. She pays well so I dont mind. Trying to do the quest while having players db-ing the map is crazy. I might just buy it once people start selling them.

 

I guess they believe that the hats would fetch a hefty price so they're buying the supplies now. I have seen a few others as well though not a lot of them are vending their stuff. They are probably hoarding the hats to sell once the description is released.

2 days later... still cant repeat the kill count quest. wow!

Took me an hour and twenty minutes to just do the Robert quest on my Shadow Chaser(and that's actual gameplay, doesn't include my AFKing to go get dinner and such). I also gather 246 of the quest items...handing it all in...well, the Roberts only gave me 50 points(really, why so low?) while the items gave me about 490 points....Definitely something the bots are going to be making billions off of....

I just think it should be a quest that can be enjoyed by all. Not just those who cheat, have nothing better to do in-game because they have everything, or have abundant free time due to their life. I don't think that's wrong.

 

I would be fine with a long anniversary quest, but ten hours of slow boring progress is too much for my taste. Feels like you aren't getting anywhere, which is why I don't play classic (no offense to anyone). :/

Sorry for hijacking the thread but has anyone tried doing the quest with a rogue? was wondering if gank works for getting the quest items,if it does then that should cut down the time it takes to get the Invasion Book/To serve man.

As a shadow chaser, I can confirm that you can gank these monsters. You have a chance to get the items dropped.

GX steal works too. that's what i've been farming on.

 

imo best event quest ever was the dragonhelm quest. monster drops were involved but the rewards weren't based on how many items you could bot since there was a cooldown. the bosses encouraged partying with lower lvls who couldn't kill them, and the quest gave pretty nice exp. also, the +20 dragonhelm for those of us dedicated enough to do it on every character every day

Item Rewards can no longer be sold for zeny (this wasn't happening as far as we can tell but would be the next step in abuse).

Any vendor with more than 100 of any of the anniversary quest items had those items moved from cart to inventory. If we missed anyone please let us know and we will take care of them.

Next week more Anniversary Quest Content will be added as well as some MVP level monsters and a special bonus any Red Beret upgraded to +9 or higher.

Spent this afternoon faming invasion plans and To serve man with my rogue...

I guess ill go back to using my backpack in Orc Dungeon as a way to make some zenny

they were playing around with the idea of transformations with it and mentioned asking Holden if it was possible on the tiki livestream... so maybe it changes you into something

Ah... possibly. Sounds kinda lame for a +9 effect though, I'd rather a usefulness that would be permanent and not purely cosmetic for how much farming is needed for the hat then spending money to +9.
