On June 15th 2014 radio/tv legend Casey Kasem passed. Known for his long running roles as radio show host and beloved cartoon voice actor, his voice has been heard by millions over the decades he was active. Drafted into the army in the 50s, he served as the DJ for the armed forces radio in the Korean war and became a DJ after returning to the United States, eventually coming to host a popular top 40 show. He began his tv career voicing Robin in the 60s Batman cartoon and later in the Superfriends. Through his life, he advocated for more positive portrayals of Arab and Arab Americans in TV and Movies. 

 

For my generation, he is most closely associated to his role as the slacker Shaggy Rogers, who together with his dog Scooby and the rest of the meddling kids in Mysteries, inc. travel in a psychadelic van solving mysteries. He has been the main voice of Shaggy from the beginnings of the Hanna Barbera show in the late 60s, up into the 2000s with the rebooted series. 

 

'Keep your feet off the ground and keep reaching for the stars' is Kasem's radio signoff and an appropriate epitaph for one of the great voices of the 20th century.

-Anniversary Quest: You will be able to add an enchant to the Red Anniversary Beret

 

Event Rewards Added

1. 50 Points HE Gum Buff for 30 15 Minutes
2. 50 Points HE Battlemanual Buff for 30 Minutes
3. 40 Points +10 stat food buff for all stats

Earn points faster with tougher monsters. Elite monsters have been sighted leading parties of invading insects.

Cookbook, Badges, and Invasion plans have become account bound.

Item Rewards can no longer be sold for zeny (this wasn't happening as far as we can tell but would be the next step in abuse).

Any vendor with more than 100 of any of the anniversary quest items had those items moved from cart to inventory. If we missed anyone please let us know and we will take care of them.

Next week more Anniversary Quest Content will be added as well as some MVP level monsters and a special bonus any Red Beret upgraded to +9 or higher.

 

-Temporal Int Boots (Slotted) will give proper bonus magic attack power

 

-Granny Boxter returns with more items to exchange.

 

1.5x exp and drops stay until 7/2

 

-TIs: 

low - Live Peach Tree / Zipper Bear

mid - Succubus / Incubus

high - Banshee / Dolomedes

 

-Currently testing/fixing Night Sparrow hat. During testing it was found that the boost to damage was based on targeted skills. We are sending a bug report to kRO to get this the bonuses to apply to hats boosting damage of AOE skills as well. 

 

The WoE TE scheduling has been decided.

Any plans to mitigate the server load on geffen and low turn in maps?

 

A lot of things happening on the the said servers and its giving unbearable lag to mostly everyone:

1. Way too many players on low turn in, with the drop event it gets even worse (Example: too many drops on the ground => too many packet s => lag)

2. Anniversary quest located in geffen.

3. Homunculus users in Geffen (orc dungeon).

4. Geffen spotlight.

 

Something should be done about each of the above.

RWC items shouldnt even have been added to the lucky box... its just opening a floodgate... considering the fact that they were just in the Kafra shop they shouldnt be allowed to be boxterable... which leaves us with a conundrum of what to do with all the unwanted RWC stuff...

Some people will hate me for this but I wonder if disabling homunculus in low TI will fix some of the lag issues.

I would NOT disable them for mid and high TI though because at that point, homunculus S is available (technically it is available for 100 gens in low TI...), and many people level their homunculus for pain killer to help them solo level in mid / high TI.

couple thoughts

sounds like you are going to re-purpose last years anniversary enchant system(poring pins) script which means we are probably going to see +1 to +5 stat enchants which will make the red beret more or less still pretty MEH,

or maybe we will get a lesser form of the malangdo enchant system e.g. the ilzude novice enchants(very low level enchants like spell 1 or FS1) or maybe the angel wing enchants(mid level enchants like spell 3 or FS3, but with stronger enchants like the Heal enchants) which could make the red beret decent.

Second thought i am assuming the "badge" part of the quest will be for the enchant system. Probably collect badges (like last anni poring coins) and turn them in for the enchants.

I was doing that savage quest on my blacksmith and just happened to walk too close to that big scarab dude.   Smack and dead.  I ended up just walking around them for the rest of the time there.

How bout just removing the anniversary spawns from spotlighted maps overall, makes sense since people are leveling there and getting murdered.

Scooby Doo was great. I loved the one with the Globetrotters, and also Batman & Robin.

but that map has the highest savage spawn rate. the other maps aren't even close.

They are very hard to get,i hope the enchants are Malangdo type...
