if I sold my soul to INT type my mermaid would tick about 8k. Sadly I am pure STR
That would contradict HikariKouka's statement that both STR and INT is used.

No, Crecentia's Bonus stat is INT = 6 matk

INT type cres seems to have better mermaid than mine. Although both are used, it seems like INT gives higher bonus damage to pet than STR.

The Crecentia gets a similar patk bonus via STR If both patk and matk is used to calculate the pet damage, it shouldn't matter

Sounds unreasonable to me that Gravity have altered the pet formula this way, but it's not completely implossible. Gravity has proven to do some strange code fixes. But rather than a class-specific formula or a MATK beneficial inbalance, another option would result in the encountered pet damage difference: That is, if only the higher bonus is used.

STR = +2 patk
INT = +5 matk
suppose you go full STR, how many atk points you have?
now turn full INT and see what changes.

no jack, they made it so STR and INT gives 6 points to their designated power. the difference is the base stats for matk making the atk power looks lower.
and yeah I switched to full INT quite a week ago to test stuffs and I think its actually a bit better for INT than going STR. not by that much tho.
