You had better not go disabling all kinds of reflect anywhere, especially in ET, if you're still trying to attract new guilds to the server.
That would be a huge step backwards.

 

The previous guild I was in only used reflect killing to climb up the tower even though they had access to alot of gear and items, it saved alot of supplies I guess.

 

The guild I am in now has access to 4 megs which is the only reason they can do ET without reflect killing, but you're right smaller guilds dont have access to those types of things so I dont see how they can do ET as easily. We dont quite agree with reflect killing, but how are the smaller and newer guilds supposed to compete in the PvM environment when its almost impossible to kill certain MvPs without a buttload of God Items.

pretty sure randgris was killed without gods/mvps for a long time before people started reflecting it. It's actually not that hard. ms tank in sw with strings (high dex) + sac (pnuema on sac - no that isn't skill abuse, it blocks pulse strike!) + high strength sanc + aid potion + fist and or bomb.

 

Voila, no gods no mvps randgris kill without reflect

 

Yes the ms tank will get dispelled often, that's why you build into dex gear and spam sw. you also need the strings on the sac too bleeding to the tank, so that pnuema is super vital.

 

It's really not hard, you just need to research the mvp skills.

I'm a bit confused at the idea that a brand new, freshly minted guild with scrub-tier players in mufflers and chainmail is somehow supposed to be able to full clear what is essentially high-end raid content right away. It's like wow players asking for LFR heroes to be able to clear current Mythic content in their LFR gear. That's not how it works.

I mean I can be honest and say I taught valhalla members to reflect before taking them through a serious run because I wanted them to familiarize with the mvp AI, the way ET worked and just work on our teamwork.

 

Doesn't mean I didnt hate it.

Seeing as how I killed first few VR, personally, and then held the spawn verses comp for a month straight... We didn't reflect, we acid bombed it. There was comp so reflect killing was out of the question. Similar story for SM and other major influential MVPs in game...

 

No god items were used and no MVPs were used. This was back when Xellie had only god/gods (forget exactly what # meg). Obviously we used gear that was all pre-valk rang patch and it was easy to kill with an entire guild comping us. 

 

Even with minimal gears a group of people can accomplish great things. Mistakes will be made, but mistakes allow people to learn and get better. Knowledge > gods/mvps.

It was stupid because it all revolved around token spamming, then we figured out it was cheaper to reflect kill it than to pay for bombs (the zeny cost of 5 boxes of tokens was waaaaaaay less than the bombs required to kill valk) and thus reflecting began.

 

But DRs were rare back then and tanking with eske being thrown on your tank (which was ban worthy on my old server) made tank killing mostly impossible. Which is why we asked for icewall to be enabled. It never seemed right to me that having the skill to tank the mvp and yes, you have to tank/survive its skills in icewall was outdone by... actually dying.

 

Now its different because tank gear is prolific. There's zero reason to reflect out of sheer laziness/badness. The only time tanking it should be a problem would be in the scenario I just outlined. When some jerk eske's the mvp when you're tanking it. Which means that if people don't reflect kill, then the "newer" guilds have a shot at trying to kill it, since you don't need gods/mvps/minis to tank it without eske being around.

Kafra stacker seems to be broken completely, he doesn't even attempt to stack and failed to stack like usual. After you talk to him and choose to stack, nothing happens.

I found an oddity with the stacker: he'll stack the manuals from the latest lucky box, but none of the ones from the previous box. It's kinda silly.
