The instructions in the post below will remain but the recommended action to resolve any problems related to having reinstalled during the period after having trouble patching is: Visit the client download page (http://www.playrequiem.com/downloads/clientdownload), download the working installer then run it once to remove the client and run it again to install it. The client will then patch properly provided there are no other issues such as connectivity.(None of this applies to the Steam Requiem client.)



If you reinstalled Requiem between January 1st and March 17th you may have began to get the error, "Old File not found...". An issue has been identified when the client was installed with the January 2015 installer and attempts to patch from 675 to 676. If you reinstalled within that period, a working installer was released officially on 3/17.

If you have an issue during the patching process (such as Failed Internet Read File or if the Updater hangs for at least 10 minutes at the same complete rate), first try closing the Updater, navigating to the Patches folder inside the Requiem Program folder and delete any files that have remained there after closing the Updater. Then, start the Updater again and it will try to download the file again to patch the client. If the download repeatedly fails to complete then you may try the work around of downloading the patch files and copying them into the Patches folder manually (as described in this thread).

 

In the spoiler below is a conversation I had with a member of our support team that had the Updater hanging at 49% but was able to resolve it with my help and this method.

 

As of 3/11 Client Version is 175.0

Patch File Version is 00000679

(There are 2 versions: one in ZIP format and the other in RAR format).

You only need to download one or the other (depending on what is easier for you to open ZIP or RAR).

 

Download the Patch files to manually copy into the Patches folder of the Requiem Program Folder:

 

Patch 00000679

Download the RAR Archive containing the patch files

-or-

Download the Compressed Folder ZIP Archive containing the patch files

i change the game Version file and whem i log in, i receive the error of the my client is in a difrent version and ask to log later!

all 3 parts have the same name, wont let me put all 3 in patches folder without deleting the previous

the problem is even you edit the file version...my client still showing 174.3 version..which wont allow you to continue to play....

Because you've done a mistake in your version ;)

 

After you've put the Patch files into the folder "Patch", you must edit the version.dat file not as you've done but in :

 

"UserGameVersion=00000678;

UserPatchVersion=00000679;"
 
Because if you write 679 in first line, the patch won't be applied ! 
 
After that launch the Updater and have fun :3

 ive done that...but at 65% old file not found..

I'm done. After each maintanence I cant update my game becouse I have some bug. I was looking for a game to play with my 2 friends and I said that Requiem is a good game, but this many bugs make the game terrible. So, I give up, I'm looking for a new game to play with my friends! good bye

following all steps on this manual patch then what happen? when patch got  65% "old file not found" what happen on this game dam.PLss Fix this BUG plss

Old file not found...

Same problem as for the last update. This is becoming really tedious!!

What the hell is wrong with you? Every time an update comes, I can not play anymore because it is then called "Old file not found" !!! It does not matter if I update automatically or manually ... the people there can not be. I play Prem. Acc !!! This makes me go every time lost days until I get back in the game. Slowly I come before with -_- !!! Let you out at last what incident else playing bal no more !!! I'm going to uninstall and reinstall again with it try if it does not work then can you lick my ass. I'm really pissed off

Hi.I am new here but try to help.After download the patch do this:

 

UserGameVersion=00000679;
UserPatchVersion=00000680
 
It works to me.
 
 
Now it gives to me onother error:The client version does not match.Please try to log on later.
 
 
I am with 13.174.2 version.How to update?

Did the game now reinstalled me with Clint from the homepage. Then insert the patch manually, because he has not done it again by itself, he shows me AGAIN to "Old file not found". Now that I've made the patch manually, I can indeed on the login screen, but since I get displayed the I do not use the current Clint. I slowly come to my real -_- in front of you. How can it be that the download Clint of the website is NOT up to date and I need to make new on EVERY new Updat everything ??? Either you get it under control or I want my money back. You pay with you, and only gets -_- purposed and it can not be !!!!

did this work for anyone? I don't see how you could put all 3 patches into the patches folder if they all have the same name

Extract the three compressed folders in the same time with WinRar for example (Select all > Right Click > Extract here)

no it does not work for me either i did every step like least 20 times just as it is displayed and instructed of the direction to success but FAILED on 50% i did modify my version and patch downloads manually but the version does not change i still get the old version cant complete without the change ,IDK im getting frustrated and my motivation is decreasing to keep my persistence on this patch i keep falling i wanna stop ....happens on every patch....

download to 49% on auto patch, I searched for this file to put on patches folder, the three files have the same name, as I put the three in the same folder? and I even put all files in the folder? explain better how this process of manual update! i have downloaded by Steam Community

my version foundation will not change to ver 175 stays at 174.13 so the patch is Failed due to this issue i got the patch now followed to the version in the system files but it fails to loads on the log screen because the version will not transfer to 175 ? whats up nxt?

I followed all the steps, the game has been updated correctly. I received an error "Can not connect to server", you posted the files and did not support the errors, it is becoming boring, I will give up playing if the error persists

Okay so I downloaded the New ZIP file and copied the files over to the patches folder

 

went into Version.dat and changed 

 

UserGameVersion=00000679;
UserPatchVersion=00000679;
 
when client opens it says Version 13.172.2 and when I try to log in it gives me error "client version does not match"
 
maybe all these issues has to do with the Requiem:Rise of the Reaver folder being installed onto the destop outside of the Gravity folder?

Just a heads up for those of you having issues with the Steam client patch process (e.g. the updater timed out or lost connection during the process leaving your client in a difficult to recover state)  I've added a new Steam Depot build that can be verified against to sort of pseudo-patch the game.
 
1. Launch Steam.
2. Navigate to your game LIBRARY.
3. Right-Click Requiem and select "Properties".
4. From the "Requiem - Properties" window click the "LOCAL FILES" tab.
5. From the "LOCAL FILES" tab click "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE..."
6. Wait for Steam to validate your files.

This will do a comparison of your current install with the current Steam Depot build (Version 13.175.0) and update any out of date files.

So, for Steam users, you should not need to use this process at all!

 

For Non-Steam users, please recheck my first post in this thread as there have been major changes including a walk through with someone successfully using this method.
