While I don't like to be negative, I need to say this. A hardware failure should at most cause corruption of any data created after the most recent backup. So this would mean WP's latest backup was more than two weeks old. That is not very good at all. I had thought backups were taken at least once per week.

 

Of course my reasoning may be too simple, but it's what I can see from the info we have received.

I've lost absolutely everything.

I started playing the 24th of March... But I had progressed a lot in so little time... I was already lvl 42 and going for Lavalon. Now I got a lvl 10 char with no progress and no equipment.

Now I don't have my characters. I had founded a guild that no longer exists. I don't have my friend list, no items, lost all my gold, I don't have my IM items and no Cash points either...

I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I was patiently hoping the rollback would go a few days not 3 weeks.

I don't mind so much about the progress, but the items, the gold, the guild... my characters and my friends!

Sorry, I'm really upset...

 

EDIT: It's worse than I thought.

I had created a character on March 24th as I said... but Now I remember I had deleted that character and started a new one later. Now that character is gone and I have the old one... Would my IM items be restored anyway?

I will inform myself about this. IM points should be refunded instead of items.

I lost my weap a +9 dark bow with crit. (not cheap) and some other items i had bought like eq that totaled up to 2k. I also lost 2 lvs on my lv 57 char(now 55 again) and 15 lvs on my lv 41 now lv 26 again. not to mention all of my insurance scrolls form the event....my profile picture exemplifies how i feel right now. I understand that this is a problem that cannot be perfectly solved and so i will be happy that my problems are not as severe as others. At the same time however, i feel like some kind of reimbursement should be given for losing like 30 hours or so of game time

That is not quite correct. There is a corruption in any daily database back to 3/28. This corruption was not noticeable, because it didn't affect any actual player.

Yeah, I already gathered that from the Producer's official statement.

 

Is it known what exactly happened on March 28th to cause the corruption, so you can prevent it from happening again?

So, I'm mad and not that mad at the same time. I basically lost a tuna staff, shoulder HBD, bottom Secmathian, Black Lord Dragon staff recipe for about 2-3k g, not that much, earned from mass idling lol (and about 40% of xp at lvl 57). The rush to catch up to loses is real though. And then you can be at peace, resting before going back. 

Still, it's annoying =/

Can't confirm this. Everything is working fine for me.

Do you get an error message? If yes, where is your char located and on what channel?

I just wanna make a quick suggestion for when any staff member reads this.

 

Can you open another 1-40 channel?

'cause, with all the characters going back to lower levels, the channel is really crowded and it's almost impossible to catch up with quests.

They most likely won't refund anything not IM related. That means no gold, items , or experience that you have lost.

hopefully they give us high exp and enchant rate increase and drop rate increase (for dusts, farming element and such)

it wont do anything if u lost alot of items/gold/exp's

 

anyway this is natural phenomenon 

every game experience like this issue too

 

i hope they can fix it
