Will there be quests for Str-Agi Rune KNIGHTS?


Please explain in detail how STR-AGI Rune Knights are severely gimped builds that cannot level on the Bounty Boards as designed and require a specialized quest to help them level.

Well I do like 1700 damage per hit, compared to 2 weeks ago when i was doing 2500+ damage per hit, in the Human Somotology Laboratory.  But that was also hitting them only 25% of the time WITHOUT them using Increase Agi, with more than 500 hit.  Since that is the ONLY bounty that gives experience at that level it would take 5 years with the calculations I did to level from 150-175, probably 3 years from 160-175.  Yes I can solo, but it's SLOW as hell.  For lower levels, they could need it unless they have extremely high end gear to bump their hp up extremely high for Nogg Road, although for that level the weapon doesn't matter as much.  125+ is where they would have trouble.  Either that or gravity needs to buff the build, as 99.999999999% of us can't get Xandez's gear.  Since we are probably the only 2 Str-Agi builds on the server as well, all the others are lizard mages.  I forgot to add that Ignition Break does severely limited damage, with my absolute hate for the skill, I still do more damage with lizard breath than Ignition Break, WITH ABSOLUTELY no gear that would help the skill, all though 2 weeks ago I did more to demihumans with Ignition Break, now I do less damage even with the +9 Glorious Claymore.  No parties for the Human Somotology Laboratory will take me, or keep me once I'm in the party, unless either half of it is guildmembers, or the only healers are.  I cannot level anywhere as I cannot kill anything within a decent amount of time.  One monster at my level takes 20-50 Condensed White Potions, WITH flamel card to double the healing.  Since def, str, and atk no longer matter in this game, and agi at higher level areas, we are completely gimped.

I thought this was suppose to cater to those who have hard time leveling, for that they have certain build; ie. FS priest, performers maybe, bio and whitesmith.

well, that RK can kill, for sure.

Yeah barely.  It is supposed to be, and Rune KNIGHTS do have a hard time leveling, EVERYONE I talk to keeps telling me to reset to lizard mage, cause Agi is impossible to level.  For lower levels it's not, but for higher levels it is.  And I'm not going to try to level to 175 at Nogg Road, which is the last place I can kill at, since this game may not even be around 5 years from now.  Oh, and those calculations I did, is if I were on 24/7.

Why not create an item that the NPC gives you that allows you to use a special skill to craft special items that are account bound? Then disable that item anywhere that's not that room, kinda like how fly wings are disabled in some areas?

And what about creating a type of quest for Shadow Chasers in which they need to steal items or copy a certain skill or figure out how to do a puzzle via certain paint, divest, or masq skills? I dunno how you'd do it, but it alleviates the FS/WoE Chasers difficulty leveling.

I could also see mini-instances for certain classes, puzzles and easy-ish mini bosses for characters who are great at 1v1 attacking but subpar at AoE leveling? Kinda like a monster immune to non-bolt magic and/or constantly casts ME to be sure only certain types of builds (the unpopular ones) can kill them.

Maybe an instant where you create a maze and a fast monster that constantly runs from the player so the player has to use certain class specific skills and certain mechanisms to chase down the monster so you can kill it, possibly giving the monster certain debuffs and plant-damage system to make it kinda difficult and less spammable.

I could see a quest for support classes where they need to use certain skills at the right time and in the right order to buff an NPC so they can kill a monster? I could also see sort of escort quests that force healers to use skills like pneuma and sanctuary to make sue their charge gets to their destination safely.

Was doing a repeatable quest in New World and the NPC wouldn't let me trade items past a certain amount because it detected existing items in my inventory. So maybe it is possible to have the NPC do an inventory check to make sure players aren't hoarding crafted items for zeny.

AGI RK might be considered gimped due to the inability to effectively mob (though it's always wise to level with AoE whatever final build you're going). Should not be considered if the +9 Black Ribbon can help (I've yet to try) a 90ish AGI build to use IB/DB/whatevs effectively.

Give the AGI RK plant-killing quest. Make the plant can heal itself into full HP every few secs (maybe 5 or 10). As AGI RK should be able to do low-mid maybe some high tier MvP, why not make them able to turn in every - say - 5 MvP kills?

Any ideas for a dancer quest? Only thing I've come up with so far for Dancer classes is a Simon-Says kind of minigame where it gets progressively more complex and difficult. And of course the EXP would scale with the difficulty with the more complex combinations netting a lot of EXP.

Lets say the npc can do a item check, what stops ppl from throwing stuff on the ground, talk to the npc and the grabbing it bag. Maybe a frikin giant cast durng dialog, like the one on Devil's Temple, but with the time necessary for an item to disappear on the ground.

usually the way gravity forces you to not bring items to a quest area is you have to not have any to talk to npc, then it immediately warps you while you are in the dialog.

^its a mechanical effect used in the ranger jobchange. You have to be 0 weight and then the NPC wearps you to a training area, where it then gives you some test items to use.

For full-support Priest builds, how about something involving a pilgrimage? Would be a fun way to peek into the daily life of the Prontera church or something.

I think I've settled on quests for pure forge Blacksmiths and pure brewer Alchemists, but I haven't really decided on anything for full support Priests and Dancer classes yet. Would love to hear suggestions for those.

For the FS support, you can have a healing npc. kinda like if you heal for this much (total) in a set amount of time, you gain this much exp. as the gear improves and what not, the more exp you would get.

 

or a Support the NPC instance. where you buff and heal npc, where the npc is killing a monster. the faster it kills, the more exp you get.

 

 there could also be a Buffing quest. such as  you are to buff the npc, for 5 minutes. making sure not to let the buffs expire.

 

Dancer.... i'm not sure....  

 

you could have duets.... such as having it perform mental sensing (or another skill) and allowing the npc's that kill to reward her with exp.

Hmm, the healing idea sounds too abusable and it would give people with better gears a higher advantage, which wouldn't be very fair. What about a training regiment where you have an NPC that gets random status effects and the Priest class player would have to know which skills to use to cure each effect? If the NPC gets cursed, the player should use Holy Water, if the NPC gets hit, the player should use Heal, etc. And there'll be a time limit for each status effect change so it would encourage FS Priest class players to really know how to use their characters in order to get EXP.

The duet idea sounds neat for Dancers, but it puts too much requirement on having a party in order to get EXP. (I'm sure people have enough of that for Bounty Boards.) I'm guessing people aren't a big fan of the Simon Says minigame for Dancers I thought up since that would require the developers to create randomized algorithms per dance so people don't go memorizing the patterns for easy EXP.

The Priest one, is there to encourage people to get better gears for their FS priest. It doesn't have to be implemented, but I think it's beneficial. you could also do a hybrid of the two.  kinda like a bonus round. that way people can be proud of the gears they've slowly built up. I know there are always going to be over the top AB's but, it would be nice to reward those that have worked on their gear as well.

 

well the duet, isn't  really about the bard. i was thinking she would invited to a proxy party with the npcs, and she could cast randome skills such as the ones with the priest, depending on what the party would need. and have the MS be a bonus round as well, if she passed the first part.

I know it's kinda late, but they could have you kill a bunch of zombies or demons.
