Temperions are supposed to be Protectors.

 

But against whom and what are we exactly fighting on Ethergia?

 

The Neubellon forces? the Ioxenic corruption?, or simply against everyone who could find some Artifacts from the Eonay race's before our selfs?

 

The Idea behind the "interactive Map" is to give intelligent Enemies (PvE) a bigger Spotlight. - A mob is not a mob!

 

Some of em invaded strategic important Places and infrastructure. (Blackhands) But do we "feel" some Consequences? 

 

Are such Places really important enough, do they have any meaning? how to give em one? 

 

Let`s take a look at the First Map for an example:

So we all know, Lant is important, Lant rules everything in Requiem.

But there is actually another sort of currency that accompanies us from the very start through the Game.

Yep...the Basic Xeons:

Miner Specter, harvesting and defending those Mysterious Crystals:

We all know them from the PD.

 

But what if we could actually conquer some Cristal's back from the "Aniyass Stone Pit" or the "El-rima Stone Pit"?

We surly would see some rewards from the NPC`s...

 

This could work like a daily Quest, located at the Bivouac:

 

"The 3 Harvesting Expert NPC":

 

Escort the Experts into "Aniyass Stone Pit" or the "El-rima Stone Pit", where you have to protect em until they loaded the Minerals. After that, Escort em back to the Bivouac to get the Reward in form of some Basic Xeons.

 

 

This sort of Quest is based on the Quest:

The Route through the "El-rima Stone Pit" contains some Nightmare Monsters as well. (Enverto)

So after the escort Job is done. And we get some Xeons as Reward...

 

--> We come to Part 2 of the Quest, here we turn the tables

 

"The Blackhands" noticed our actions, that we killed their precious labor (the Miner Specter) and that we fled with the precious loot. So now they come for us!

We have to defend the Bivouac and the loot!

This could work like the Event "Monster Invasion"  

 

The "Blackhands" are supposed to come from the Crematory and the Conveyance Port

 

If we can defend the Bivouac for lets say 10min. (without dying).

 

The Quest and Part 2 is complete.

This could provide Temperions with an additional task and meaning.

 

And the Story & Map would feel a bit more alive as well.

Thanks, this sort of Quest should be transferable for each Map and Nightmare Zone.

 

Because i think NM-Time and Zone are important. At the Moment the exact Location from each NM Zone looks pretty random.

 

Without any backdrop. 

 

So even if the Story behind the NM Zones stay a riddle. Now we can feel a disadvantage from it, during our Escort / Protection Work. 

 

NM Zone and Time has not changes Since S1. Even if it`s supposed to be the Major Feature of this very Game.

 

And the PB System is very unbalanced as well.

 

I can`t help but thinking that the use of PB and NM Zone+Time should be more closed linked together.

Part 1 of the Quest (the Escort Job) could take part not only around the Bivouac:

On Turba you could do 6 Escorts...it don`t have to include the Invasion Part for all of em, even when i would really love to see em combined.

 

You could make it so that 1 Escort Quest each Day is of free access for every Player, access to 3 would require Basic and 6 only for Premium user. Or you simply sell additional Escort Job Scrolls at the IM^^ 

 

Doing PD is very boring after a while. So this could provide much more variety. And Player would have another Reason to explore the Map. Besides traditional Questing. 

 

Might require to place some Minerals or NPC at the Center of the NM Zone that only spawn during the NM Time.

To ensure the Nightmare Experience

depends on the Route you take,  there should be an connection between the Place/Route you take and the Reward.

 

For Turba it could be something like:

 

Mineral Routes: (El-rima Stone Pit VS. Enverto)  = 400 Broken Basic Xeons.  

 

Vital Water Routes: (Oasis VS. Thesturg) = x 20 Blue Spirit Water or Green Vital Water Beatmare-vitalwater-sym.png

 

Occupy  Routes: (Roke Vale VS. Sellos & Cecrops) = 50 Honor Points / or 5.000 Lant.

 

 

There could be many types of Missions,

 

Would love to see a Shadow Runner Mission: Rogue_Shadow_Runner.gif

For that to work out you would need to collect some of those first:

So when you arrive at the NM Zone the Mission is to only kill the one Terrifying Mob inside the Nightmare Monster Group.

 

The Mission fails when any other Mob dies. So you have to use your Shadowrunner Skill, that you get and work only with

 

the Right Item from the SvS Reward NPC.

 

(disguised at the same NM Mob and that Monster won`t Attack you, no agro it will only defend)

The Escort NM Routes could be an extra Feature and the Monster Invasion too.

You mean Heal Jobs for Healers and Protection Jobs for Tanks?

 

Stealth Missions for Assassins?

 

Did not mean that but sure why not.

 

I suggested more than one Time a specific Second Job Quest line for each Class. But did not see that happen.

For me its not about being optimistic or toxic. Praying or not.

 

It`s more about sharing Information that can lead to understanding each Side better.

 

It`s not always possible to get what you want, no need to get angry about , Requiem is not the only Game.

 

Every Game is situated under a permanent pressure to change and evolve. Factors like revenue can accelerate this Progress too.

 

I can understand some of the changes to lower the requirements to get People into the Crafting Process of the Game.

 

Like making Carus Xeons more available, giving Players a better Drop Chance more Lant or even making "Chance Maker" more easy available.

 

Doing such measures enables new Player to see more from the Game in a short amount of Time. It all has Pro and Cons depending on your own Play taste.

 

For me the last changes feel`d like Requiem went from a small Indie Game (with Hard settings) into a broad mainstream Game (with Easy settings)

 

It`s kind of ironic that we had more Player in the Past. If you ask me why, Requiem felt much more unique than but that might be only me.

 

Nevertheless can i understand that the Game had to change. We all should be happy that it still exist. And for that i`m really thankful to both Dev`s.

 

Apollonia your not alone with your uneasy opinions and expressing Critic. It`s not what you say, but how you say it.

 

The Dev`s might have lesser Freedom to determine our walk through hell than you might think. So let`s give em a rest at least for the Day  :wink:

I tried being nice to them, I tried being helpful, I even had a really nice Rad guide I made on another account. I got suspended and they deleted the guide I spent a week working on.

Ive tried being helpful, it has gone on deaf ears.

As such, I stopped moderating my language.

Honestly im just tired of their BS.

Lies and empty promises. Why bother.

I mean look at the Suggestions forum. How many of these were implemented or even commented on by HELIUM?

And even if they were commented on by HELIUM they did not even come close to getting implemented.

 

Look I love your ideas, most of them, there are quite a bunch of posts in Suggestion which are amazing. Some simple but very useful. Unfortunately, there is a .01% chance of them being implemented.

Not a pessimist, just a realist. And realistically speaking, we all know its true.

+1 . agree , would have say quite the same. really i am not at all living in "little pony" world , due to my age , my work etc. and even if i understand what Apo means and how he can feel cause we probably share ALL the same type of things ( no , i won't precise , we all know what we mean) and feelings about situation in a game we appreciate back then or still now, bitterness and anger won't help anyway . I really don't think that will help the situation about a man managing alone the game. Better go hit on a punching ball to evacuate the wrath. "toxicity" won't change the situation anyway. or only to make all others even more bitter too. if the game is near closure , even broken like it is yet. i better choose to enjoy the last "broken" moments than cry and shout about how it is now. :p_sad:

Ok so heres the problem. That man that is solo managing the game, has been a poison to the game for all these years. His feedback to the Korean devs is what made the game worse and worse.

I have no respect for him, because he deserves none. Its simple really, yes there are lots of bugs and issues to fix at once. And -_-, I would understand if he was actually working on fixing them. But hes not. He is wasting his time on his own ridiculous crap. Like MDC and Valdes on fire. His priority right now, should be on fixing the skills, and fixing some bugs. NOT new content that makes no sense.

If he was releasing content that was brand new, I would completely agree with you that I am too bitter, but ill tell you what, if he actually DID release NEW content NOT copy paste crap, I would not insult him. Depending on how many bugs it produces ofc and how poorly or properly it is implemented.

If tomorrow he would come and introduce skill changes to turan classes that made sense, and said it would take 2 weeks to make them work, god damn I would thank him and help as much as possible. Assuming he would listen.

But as I see it, this will never happen. Helium will never do anything properly and all suggestions, no matter how good will fall on deaf ears, because he just doesn't care. And I don't care how many times he will post that he cares or that he is trying to make things work or any of his other nonsense. This is a creature that has failed the community at every turn. Faith? No, I have more faith in humans being able to create a black hole than I do in Helium ever doing anything we suggest.

Well, this is all cool and such a broad stroke. Given that Neubellon forces are dormant, that Ioxenic corruption is an understatement, and Artifacts from the Eonay race are already in possession of powerful NPC in the storyline: None of this suggestion is in conflict with the story and we can talk about design here. Given some time we could see this, or something like it made.

My turan comment was general in a sense of Helium doing what we need, not whatever nonsense he comes up with.

No you right, personal attacks wont help, neither will helping help, or anything. Im just tired of his lies and crap. Calling it how I see it.

They don't gather feedback im sorry. They ignore. They pretend to gather feedback just to keep us quiet. They gathered a year of skill change feedback and ignored ALL of it.

Wait and see for content? What content? I haven't seen any new content. All ive seen is copy and paste. Skill changes that are a joke. And new crap that is all old crap but with more bugs.

Yeah, smaller team, but as long as Helium is on that team, the game has 0 hope. And that's not more info than we had in the past. It is the same info we always get. "Soon, soon, soon." Everything is either soon or later. Which means never.

Quite a few of the things that need to be fixed would take no time at all. But of course, you would actually have to WANT to FIX the problems.

Look at it this way, Its been over a year since skill changes have been promised. How many classes are done with no bugs? 2? Warlord and Elem. Common. A year for 2 classes. And btw warlord skill changes were a joke.

Nah, doesn't matter how you spin it. Helium and Alteris were the worst thing to happen to this game.

Actually, I am looking forward to making a new Escort Quest for a Daily Quest. Sort of have to pay attention to fixing the bugs in the most recent content first. And, after that I think I am going to have to prioritize Buffing up the remaining classes that have received no or fewest changes yet because at the moment many of the classes already updated are over powered compared to the others. So, then once I have completed those balance updates to bring other classes in line with the others, I will work on the Escort Quest to make sure it can be done, can Update that and by then have ideas sorted out and start working on some content created based on the ideas here. This is a long view, but maybe we can go that far.

Getting a Daily Escort Job maybe by next Year, is more than i could hope for.

Sounds cool, but why sticky? There are a ton of suggestions just as good. With the activity of this forum. This topic would remain towards the top of the list for months.
