What is "fire mild wind" ? I was using a fire converter.

 

Are you finding yourself staying alive without issue with that set up? I'm wondering if HF would have been a better choice for my bow now.

 

 

Edit: Jaye I downloaded and watched your replay, and in all honesty I'm struggling to replicate it in a few ways. Firstly the ease that you walk along and between monsters - even with an AGI scroll I simply can't do this, I keep getting locked down and chipped away before I've collected more than 2 or 3. Secondly when you drop SR it seems you almost lock the monsters in place - again this just doesn't happen for me.

 

At least I can see why I'm struggling compared to how it should be done - I suspect many deaths will occur before I master this one

Mild wind, the taekwon skill that converts your atk to x element, Leo Crown procs Mild Wind lv4(fire) when physically attacking. Mild wind is way stronger than converter, you should see a very noticeable difference.
I had both HF and AS carded elvens( hf was +5 and kingbird +9), and honestly, i rarely used my kingbird elven, maybe except when i was in a party. To lvl a performer with SR i did almost like lvling a gx with RC(using leech gears), but you have a little less damage, higher sp cost but way bigger aoe.

I haven't played my Maestro in a while but I see that you guys are not using Bow of Storms.  Was pretty pumped for that arriving but everyone is still using Elven?

nope. You can proc it and the effect will stay for the duration of the buff (3mins? something like that). After you manage to proc it, you can swap back to your leeching headgear. So there is no need for HF elven.

small note: Mildwind effect stay even though you swap your weapon. At first, it is kinda good, but sometime, it can be annoying. Since you have to either wait for the full duration or override buff with other element if you need to swap element. Example: using fire mild wind for hazy.

I use bow of storm. I only said elven because noxel or whoever it was wanted a newbie friendly gear list.

Which replay? Am I using bow of storm in it? Be sure to do your maneuvering before your aoe starts doing damage. SR bugs your movement while it does damage.

Good question, it was Mid TI on the old map. Anolians and something else - don't think I saw your equips.

I think that was well before bow of storms then if it was my abyss lake mid ti video. Bow of storms also helps our dps because it lowers the cooldown of SR by about 30%.

There is earth, wind, water and fire ones. The wind one proc chance is kinda lame tho, and they are getting quite rare to find.
And, i use HF+RWH. One leech gear is not enough sustain if you, like me, dont want to be using pots

For SP, its enough to use rwh if you also use archangeling
For HP you don't need leech gear if you use medium life potion.

As I am too lazy to feed a pet and don't like losing 10% ranged atk, and can afford a jillion med life's, this is the way I go.

I've been offered a great deal on a +12 AS Elven Bow which I'm sorely tempted by. It'll get me to 130 minimum, then go to a ranger.

^ dun. +7/9 is enough. Then you will want to change to bow of storm. Don't waste your zeny on items that you dont really need.

i reaaaaaaaly love bow of storms. makes you able to chain hawkeye faster and more effective and over and over again.

Try using fire mild wind if you have access, im farming mid TI with my wanderer(since Naga atk range is troublesome to solo on gx), doing average 7k per hit, using a more tanky setup, hbp[dr], unfrozen saphien, leaf cat mid headgear, coldproof, +9rwh, +5 malicious elven, +9 superior temp dex

 
Guildy lent me his leo crown to test out. I'm still quite a way off your damage, what level are you to be in the 7k range?

it is kinda hard to say that this class is weak when we can deal 50k~100k per hit using sr :v
we can even out damage most of ranger AS by this point :s
