[Soldier] Winters: "No! The intruders are already inside, we need back up!"

 

New Dungeon Mode: The Siege of Junon Polis

Goal: Escort + Rescue Mode

 

Description.

A foreign invading force is besieging the City of Junon Polis and capturing it's residents. It is your job to protect this city and rescue the inhabitants. 

Three Major Bosses lay in wait within the city walls.

 

-The Skeleton Worm Dragon

-The Undead Stinger King

-The Bone Golem

 

one Sub-Boss Bonus Monster

 

-Undead Wyvern

 

and the final boss just outside the city gates.

 

-The Skeletal Devourer

 

Each of the inner city bosses is holding hostages and the soldiers. You need to free the hostages and soldiers in order to mount a counter attack on the Skeletal Devourer outside the gate.

Defeat the 3 inner city bosses to unlock the draw bridge and counter attack the main king.

 

Locations:

Skeletal Worm Dragon: Near the Dock Merchants and Flying Air Ships.

Traits: Summons Minion worms that cause poison and heal the main king.

Physical Tank Type: Magic Damage

 

Undead Stinger King: Near Mildun and Crune.

Traits: Causes Poison and calls in minions that buff the king and attack.

Soldier Type: Physical Damage

 

Bone Golem: Near the Training Ground Entrance.

Traits: Summon small golems that attack and call smaller golems.

Warrior Type: Physical Damage

 

Skeletal Devourer: Outside city draw bridge.

Traits: Dispells buffs, calls minions that buff + heal king, causes bleeding.

Archer Type: Physical Damage

 

Loot Rolls:

Lisent U [common]

Gem Chest VI [common]

Nepturune / Plutorune / Venurunes [legendary]

Medal of Valor [+150 Valor consumable, char locked on acquire] [rare]

Bone Weapons [custom Skinned items, char locked on equip] [very rare]

Bone Mounts [custom skinned mounts, char locked on acquire] [legendary]

Skill Books [very rare]

 

Team Size: 10-15

Difficulty: 6/5 [Epic difficulty]

 

Daily Quests:

Siege Armaments: "We need repair supplies to fix the siege engines! bring us thick bone from each of the kings, and 999 oak wood. [You can buy oak inside the instance after defeating the Skeleton Worm Dragon]

Rewards: Valor + Valor HP Potions x5 [10k hp potions usable in GA Dungeons only]

 

Information is Key: "We've never seen creatures of this veracity, especially not ones that have legions at their command and we need information. Unfortunately the only way to gather that information is to fight with the beasts. Go fight the devils and record information on their ability to spawn and call in reinforcements!"

Goal: Kill 150 bonelings and bring back your information.

Rewards: Valor + Valor MP Potions x5 [50% MP potions usable in GA Dungeons only]

 

A Distress Call: "We spotted a distress flare not too long ago from the direction of the Junon Order Citadel. We fear they may be under attack and losing the battle. Go investigate and free any survivors who may still be under attack!"

Note: Cannot be accomplished until the Bone Golem is downed. Kill the Undead Wyvern and talk through the citadel door to the survivors, letting them know the Escape Route to the docks is clear.

Rewards: Valor + Crate of Armaments [Bone Weapons, Refine Runes [grade 10], Catalyst x 20 [U's or Hgs], Refine Enhancements/Protections]

 

I'll post some pictures once I finish the custom skins as I go along of the Monsters and Weapon Ideas. I really wanted a HARD dungeon, not one full of stuns, or over powered mechanics. Instead one where ADS are an impacting part of the play, true goals to accomplish and over-all something that ties you into the world. After all, we love Junon Polis, we should probably rescue it.

that would be a great addition to the game indeed. I can't wait till this would be out.

Feuer, can you estimate how much GA energy this dungeon will cost?

Do those rewards apply for all bosses?

Does everyone get at least one of the loots listed like the current dungeon or is it "free for all" like open world?

 

Can't help but wonder =p

Given the size and completion time I imagined [about 40 minutes hopefully] I'd say 7k would be a fine starting point for GA costs [considering you also recover energy while inside the Dungeon, so 2 back to back runs would be possible].

You'd get 1 loot roll per boss defeated just as it is in CoU, HoO SoD and SC currently. Meaning this specific dungeon concept would have 4 loot rolls [and a 5th depending on if you do the daily or not] if it was implemented as I propose it to be.

A raid Dungeon?
 
I realy like this concept, and think it's time for some more challenging dungeons, not specifically making NPC's harder but having more game mechanics influencing the boss fights and what not.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't say stuff like that.

 

On a related note, I have a feeling the new battle artis ("My format? Artisan. To mend and defend. ") will save the day. Nothing like a good siege to bring out the crafter in you.
